FSS Changes from Service A to B?

My 2001 E320 has at some point recently decided that it needs a service B. For the past few months it said service A would be due and today I noticed it says service B due in 1700 miles... Any ideas how it changed or why?

Thanks!

Yes. It is explained in your manual.

Read the manual...

The manual does not directly address my question... From what I read, every 10K miles you do either a service A or B and can reset it if you want to and that it my have you do the service sooner based on your driving style... but it doesn't say why one day service A was due in 1800 miles and the next day it says service B due in 1800 miles...

Confused...
