My vin is WDBRF52H87F927808. Im wondering if that is the part of 07 model year where they had the balance shaft sprocket wear that skips a timing tooth....also if its with the trans pump issues that wear out the bearing. Annnnd if it has the intake flap problem. Entertaining buying this car if it is one in late 07 where these three problems were solved ??

The engine of that VIN is 272920 30 595599. Way past the 2729xx30 468993 cutoff.

So are you saying that my VIN number is way past the time when they addressed and fixed those issues? Which of the issues that I mentioned should I not have to worry about? Thank you for your Insight

Bert, in Mercedes world this is a lot of research for a car you don't own.

When you buy a cheaper car it needs a lot of TLC that ends up being an expensive older car.

When you buy a better car you spend less fixing it that ends being ab expensive newer car.

What kind of expensive car do you like.... newer or older ?

I would go survey the forum messages of candidate chassis.
