Hi I have a 2004 c class the key fob won’t lock or unlock the car it will start and drive I have changed the battery and still no joy anyone got any ideas to try please

Did it ever work to remote open and lock the car? Is it a replacement fob? Or did it suddenly stop working?

You need to get a bi-directional Mercedes-specific scanner to see what codes there might be. You should also be able to tell if the keys have any errors. For your car, you can try the LAUNCH Creader Elite 2.0 BENZ (check on Amazon or AliExpress). Ideally you will want to have a Star Diagnosis System (SDS) with DAS, which is the predecessor to XENTRY.
