It's not cheap to push field updates in these devices so there must be hard reasons for doing so, usually related to safety.
These updates do not resolve built-in design shortcomings like "open concept" for water condensation or unprotected oxidized undersized pins in the Hella HL.
Headlights may dysfunction but more gracefully after programmed warning hints. Safe Pkg lights will stay on for minimal safety until fresh new unit is coded at the MB Dealer.
