Make box-based steering lighter, where is the flow limiter?

Long story short, I need to make the steering in a w208 lighter, as it is hard for a person with a disability to maneuver around town.

The person owned a bmw e46 before, that one has a banjo bolt with a built in flow limiter on the steering rack. It's common to remove it on drift cars, as it increases flow and makes steering lighter without messing with pressure and risking leaks.

I'm looking for info on where the pressure / flow regulator is located on a Mercedes car with a box steering. Any help is greatly appreciated as I really don't want to mess with pulley sizes.

No banjo bolt flow limiter on W208. It's inside the pump. Can't easily remove it. Try lower viscosity fluid or more tire pressure instead.

low steering assist

Some of these MB hydraulic assist use an electric solenoid to boost idle pump pressure.

I forgot what exactly goes wrong with that system, I vaguely recall SAM causing the low assist.

Not sure if this is relevant to your chassis model.
