97 E320 Check Engine Electronics?????
I have a 1997 E320 that has a message saying "Check Engine. Engine Electronics." The car is idling harshly. It is not driving on full power. I replaced the Mass Air Sensor 5 months ago. The Mass Air Sensor was replaced because the car was not engaging the gear fully when I would take off from a stop or on the freeway when it needed to downshift to go faster. The car would be in gear but would not be going as fast as your foot was deep into the gas. When the Mass Air Sensor was replaced (Per Technician's advice), the hesitation to engage a gear stopped, until recently. Does anyone know what this new problem might be?

Anything you are told here would be just a guess. Take it to a dealer and have it diagnosed correctly with the Star diagnostic equipment

Based on what you describe, a dead coil. Its always best IMHO to replace all the coils, spark plugs and put in a wire set for the best repair. 104 motors are notorious for coming back with the same problem unless you go ahead and replace the whole ignition system at once.
