Question Navigation System CD's for M Class

Does anyone know if it's possible to "update" ones navigation system CD's? I have the full set from 2000, but on a recent trip to Florida I noticed that there are numerous (new) roads that are not yet included in the CD's data set.

Can I go somewhere and download the latest maps? Do I have to go through MB and get charged outragous prices?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,
D

Navigation CD's

The company that produces the navigation CD's is NavTech (www.navtech.com). You can purchase the entire 10 disk set for about $280, plus shipping and tax. If you buy fewer than 10 they are $150 each!! I understand that the next revison will be released this September.

As far as I know there have been no updates yet fot the discs delivered with 02 vehicles. I have an 02 ML500 with the full set of discs and from the day I got them found numerous areas with new roads, etc. that were not yet on the discs. Navtech is the place to go for any questions. They respond quickly to e mails

From experience, I can say that improvements were made from the CD's produced in '00 to the ones produced in '01. However, I'm sure it depends on your area.
