Rotars
I did this and now the car vibrates when I stop.
I took it in and they say I warped the rotars and need to replace them and the front pads.
They want 500.00 and I want a better reason then this just happens. Any ideas?
or a lot of mountain driving. "Do more hard braking to knock off the brake dust" is one of the dumbest bits of advice I've heard. I'd go for some after market crossed drilled rotors and kevlar pads if you have to replace them. MB pads and rotors do stop well but are known to squeel, wear quickly, and produce volumes of brake dust in comparison.
What year is your 500 as the previous generation was more susceptible to the warppage problem

Two months ago I brought my S500 in to check the brakes and I had 50% rear and 65% front. The service advisior told me I need to hard brake more (when you apply the brakes to stop on a dime) to knock of the break dust.

Very hot brakes going through a deep puddle of cold water may warp the rotors as well as a stream of cold water from the garden hose being applied directly to a very hot rotor.
