Lots of tire kickers, but surprisingly only two test drives - Mister Brenton on here and a restaurant owner from Brooklyn that offered $16,500 cash but I wasn't ready to part ways at that price...
Anyone here want to buy the cheapest CL600 with twin turbos in the US?? (I know it doesn't have a clean history, but that's why it's so cheap.)

Noah, was that Nick? 16.5? *****!
I thought I sent another guy up from DC to have a look as well. Guess he bailed. I'm nervous in this economy, and I bet many others are as well.

It may have been Nick, but there were 3 cousins that each called me at different times and I couldn't figure out who was who. That wanted to leave them their car (a 2006 CL500) to take mine back to Brooklyn to show it to their Uncle. Sounded too fishy for me.

hey, that sounds like a fair trade. If they never came back, you still have an 06, albeit not a 600.

I thought they might have stolen it - or would come back with their second key - or who knows what. Having three different people calling about the car made me think something was strange...Then they wanted to show it to their Uncle - I was wondering why the Uncle didn't come with them...

How would the back seat be for say a two year old, and a new born (not now but maybe someday soon)?
I'm thinking I need a sedan...but it's hard to pass something up like this.

I have a minivan for family duty, so I don't know from experience. But the guy I bought it from had a 3yo and 1yo and said he put two car seats in. Plus before I bought I made sure (via asking) that if I needed to one could fit.
I wouldn't recommend it as the primary family vehicle because it would be a PITA to put the kids in and out a few times a day - but for every once in a while on weekends, I'd deal with it for the pleasure of owning a car like this...

Does the Airmatic suspension work properly? It went bad on my old CL55 and that was a $5K repair bill.
Awesome value for the price!

ABC works properly - i.e. car goes up and down when you press the buttons. However, when parked for an extended period, the front passenger area sags. When you put the car in park, it pops right back up. It's been that way for a year, and my mechanic said not to fix it until it doesn't pop up (which he said could be years).
