CAR SOLD!!!

I have owned and driven just about every AMG model to date... THIS CL65 IS THE BADDEST OF THEM ALL...

And in a VERY short time all the factory warranties will be up and with only 194 made.... this is gonna be a very hard car to get your hands on with warranty and not abused.....

The new ones are still $130k plus.....so if anybody wants to drive the most powerful AMG built ... they better buy one soon without spending a fortune

.........Your car is fantastic, but I don't agree with your statement. Contrary to your statement, these cars are going to be very easy to buy when the factory warranties expire. The owners will like to unload them because of costly repairs and potential buyers will be very picky because of fear of costly repairs. A brake job alone on these cars is more expensive than an entire semester's tuition for most families with kids in college. If indeed 194 were made, that number is already too many, given the above.

Maybe or maybe not

Though I disagree on the brake job... The last time I had one done on a 65 it was $457.00 All 4 corners done right....You may be right about the cars being easy to buy without warranty. But my argument is based on the ones with warranty and mostly factory because without the factory an extended is not available so those wanting the 65 experience and rarity should jump on one now with factory warranty remaining befor they r all gone!!

Your price on the brakes are absolutely incorrect.

The front composite rotors alone are $1000 each.

You no doubt are a good salesman after reading your for sale ad.

Congrats on the sale

I am correct....depends on the circumstance

the pads can be replaced without replacing the rotors.... not a problem... I did this with a 65 a while back and the cost of install labor and pads on all 4 wheels were $457.00 and to this day the rotors still have not been changed out and the pads are still on the car....I keep in touch with the person i sold the car too....

Now some people are told that the rotors should be replaced which is incorrect depending on the wear of the rotor... remember these rotors are strong and can handle a lot more wear then a traditional rotor....

either way to replace the front rotors and pads at a dealer can exceed $3k .....

I PERSONALLY like to use an independant Benz mechanic... saves a ton of money.....

they are told so because authorized audi/vw, bmw and mercedes dealerships will not replace just brakepads anymore. this is a fact.

the official take is "to maintain optimal breaking power".

however, this was as a result of the newer stronger rotors that will not wear out but will rust from inside/out along the venting braces inside the rotor. this if left unchecked will result in rotor splitting/desintegrating and wheel seizure which might result in an accident.

so now they will replace rotors and pads to avoid potential litigation.

ofcourse a knowledgeable owner can save him/herself lots of money by just doing a brakepad job, but the dealer would not do it.

makes sense...

I am kinda old school... I use to do all my own brake jobs....ofcourse these cars are a different story...but same principal applies.....brake pads only needed unless the rotors are shot.....saves a ton of money....

It cost me 700$ for pads all around for my C32 AMG at MB.
