FS: 2006 E55 AMG Wagon
Trying this again to see if there is any interest in my 2006 E55 wagon, silver, 18k miles, loaded with everything except distronic. Posted it on cars.com so you can see a ton of pics there and more info on the car or just pm me.

beautiful car...did you like it?
btw, perhaps you could quietly include the cars.com link to your pix and the moderator would be okay?

Your car is probably worth $33,000 here on this forum .....your best bet would be to advertise on Autotrader as well...

yea, its been a great car....I am just itching for more power :-), and the SL65 has always been my DREAM....with some of them down into the 60's it is drawing my attention.
I don't have to sell the wagon, so I don't plan on giving it away (like the 33k mentioned below your post) but if I can get a decent value for the car than I'll most likely sell and trade up

And about the OP's car... I've seen pics of it, it is gorgeous, and with only 18k miles on it, it's a collector's dream car. The only reason I'm not jumping at it is that I'm contemplating either an SL65 or a CL65 at the rate they're dropping.

ML320, Looking for my S4
Not that I'm an Audi fan.... but 572HP and 479LB/FT TQ is not something to mess with. Also a simple ECU flash will net 700hp.

I forgot about the new one. Lol. It's just that I've thought this for so long now that I've always thought about it with the old RS6, which I personally adore. But I think if the E55 had 4 wheel drive it would put the old RS6 to shame

like you said, the SL65's are in the 60's for a reason...which means you will be taking a bath on your car as well. Its too bad, but your not going to get a steal on the 65 without selling the wagon for a steal. I am graduating this year from business school and want to get a DD so I can relegate the Cayman S to weekend fun car. I instantly started looking at E-class sedans because the market is so soft on them right now - I dont wanna spend more than 25K and can find a great E500 for that. I also don't wanna wagon, but if you got near 30, i would reconsider!

No wonder you sound like a buisnessman
Buying a car is one thing and maintaning them is a whole new world...for your budget of $25,000 i would think E500 might be the right choice...
I am sure there are many of us here on the board that don't want or like E55 wagons but heck for $30,000,we won't mind considering one either

^^ hey, you never know when someone really needs to sell...we can all wish
Maintenance is the one reason I have not looked to seriously at the E55...that and I have my CS for fun as well as having the responsibility of taking care of my dad's fun collection of toys.
Ill be lucky and graduating with no debt and a nice nest egg...but that will need to work as DP on a house, some investment objectives (objective - to win back all of the losses lately!) and my "fun" budget - so it seems prudent to stick with the E500 which is still much more than I really need.

And as for maintenace, the car is under warranty until 2/10 and could still get cpo'ed so I don't see how this car is any more of a risk than your E500 choice. I've had zero issues with the car. I've had all mx done (actually gone beyond the MB mx schedule and changed the oil every 3k with Mobil 1 anyway). For $89 at the dealer, its worth it to keep it fresh :-)...and I already did the 20k service early so this car doesn't need ANYTHING.
