04 - 06 e55 Wagon - looking for
1. What is that letter behind the e55 on the rear hatch?

2. Since this is an 05, What is the in-service date and warranty status (third party, Factory extended?)

3. Does it have Distronic

4. Does it have power rear hatch

5. What is the VIN so we can check carfax report

6. Are you the original owner?

Thanks.

Not to rag on your price, but you can get an E63 with 5k miles from a dealer now for $60k. Good luck anyway.

Hey Red,

I know. This posting looked a bit suspicious and vague. What's the deal with the 's' after the e55 emblem on the rear hatch? I've got the pulse on all wagons for sale in the US - lol. Your wagon is sweet.

Too bad the economy and my recent situation has put my wishes on hold *sigh*

Even if the economy was good, your wish of finding a wagon for low to mid 30's is pretty wishful...

Actually, not really. If you search my previous posts, you will find a number of wagons that were sold below $40K in decent condition. I know, because I communicated with the sellers. I had a few fellow forum member check at least two other ones and drive them for me. Another wagon from a specialty dealer who is a member of this forum sold one for $37.5k ('05 model year) plus or minus on the second go around. That is three (3) right there. On the other hand, I know of 3 others that sold for over $40K. One of those was sold by a fellow forum member at $46K ('06 model year) and fully loaded except Distronic and he bought it for $60k 8 mos previous. I know the market

I'm looking for an e55 at mid to high 30s. But can pay more for the right one. I've been looking for a while so a few months won't hurt. I've got a few things on my plate right now so my wish is put on hold.

I communicated with Red last year, so yes, I know the market and am keeping a pulse on it as close as I can.

Hey Allen if you are reading this, I keep thinking about that one that got away

I've had multiple offers in the 38-40k range (including a dealer tryin to sell me a 911 Turbo). If I could get 42k I would probably sell it

Got you PM

Lotus 79,

I got your PM. I am unclear on the following items still.

1. Did the wagon have the 'S' prior to you acquiring the vehicle since you are the second owner? Or was the 'S' an add on by a third party, the previous owner or yourself. The model from the manufacture is E 55 AMG. The 'KOMPRESSOR' side badge denotes a supercharger. Are you saying that E55 AMGs in Europe have the 'S' designation on the back hatch?

2. So you are saying the wagon has a full lifetime new warranty which means it is transferable to me and I do not have to buy one? And if anything goes wrong with the car (that is covered under warranty) the dealer will repair it for the lifetime of the car?

3. Where does the car get services so I can verify warranty status.

4. Does it have a power rear hatch

Thanks.
