If a person was interested in buying into a car that is modded and they just want to race it or thrash it around without worry of potential resale, reliability or simple vehicle value then buy the one with the mods (providing they are all done correctly). I would prefer to have a car with 500+ horsepower but that's not what the C55 is (IMHO).
If you want that for a C55 then Hooleyboy (Mike) is the guy you want to talk to. Based on the information I have read about the car here it is simply magic. Having said that I am absolutely sure that even though Mike C55 IS probably the fastest C55 on the planet there are surely faster cars that Mikes.
I have bored you all with that to simply say this. A unmolested car has more value than a modded one (again IMHO). I have had Ferraris, Porsches and BMWs and it has always been that the non-modded car is of more value (for the most part).
Exactly my point. Show me a modded car that has not been thrashed! The point to a modded car is to push it beyond what it was intended to do. To me a modded car will always be worth less then a original spec car. Sorry but your car will never sell at that asking price.

2006 Mercedes C55 AMG
I sold my fully loaded mint 2006 C55 black on black with 29.5K on it for 28.5k in may. So honestly anything over that is a out of line.

Buying C55, E55, C32, CLK55.
I see some really good C55 with 14K-29K miles going for 26-28K....
So what your asking for is waaaaay beyond what anyone would pay...

There's no point to keep telling the OP of this thread or any other FS that the price is high. They'll realize it soon enough.

Thanks all for your input, good or completely useless. I'm just trying to sell my car, and imho, all of you on the forum should know these cars inside and out. I am not trying to get some outrageous amount of money for the car. I am sure someone out there may be looking or merely thinking of getting a well cared for C55. I will gladly entertain any reasonable offers.

Okay, how about $30,000 or a reasonable offer?

35K is a very fair price to be asking. Most C55s that you see with low miles and selling in the mid 20's have probably had accidents, and also probably why they are being sold.

When I was shopping for my '06 C55, I went to see 4 which the people were asking 26-32k, and ALL of them had accidents, some even severe engine damage.

C55s are rare, and it is VERY hard to find one in good condition with low miles.

Your biggest selling point is that the car is still in warranty, and you may also want to show if it checks out against the 150 point certification requirements.

OP-Good luck with the sale. 30K for a clean C55 isn't bad.

Mine has just under 30k miles and it is unmolested with the exception of window tint and 19 inch wheels. It also has the 100k warranty. I think that all that allows for a higher value. Having been the owner of a lot of cars in my life, Ferrari, Porsche, BMW and MB I have seen that even though people throw a lot of money at their cars modding them that money in the real market is lost and the value of the car takes a hit because it is assumed that the car was abused. It is just the way of the market.

No, We looked at a couple Murcielagos but were too far apart.

Don't let other people dictate you on how much you should sell your car for. Post a price and if there are no interests, keep lowering your price until you reach a reasonable price. That's why you have to do a bit of research first. Bottom line is that if you NEED to get rid of your car, you'll take a loss and sell it.

I beg to differ. Come see my E55 and my other buddies w/ MB. I love modding but that doesn't mean I mod to push my car to the limits. People might say why mod if I'm not going to take advantage of it? Modding is simply a hobby for me, learning about the car while I'm modding it. That's all

I am not very good checking my pm's. The car is still available, and the best way to reach me is via e-mail at: marais01@gmail.com, or call me at 216-288-6443.
