I AM a dealer and I DO use MMR all the time. Three or four posters can SAY the car is worth $32000 all day long, they aren't the one buying it. The fact is there are 400 to 500 E-class cars of all types coming off lease every week flooding the market. Simple ECON101 says the prices are going down. OP asked for an opinion of the value of the car, I gave mine. If YOU think it's worth so much more, why don't you pay him that much.
If you are a dealer then you are a jackass! You lump 400 to 500 E class cars in with E55s. That shows that you have no clue on the value of cars. You probally tell your Mustang Shelby500 customers you can get them a car for $19000 since there are 1000 Mustangs going thru Manheim each week huh not even realizing 95% of them are 6 cyl base cars. That is why you drive a 1995 S280 5-speed because you can't make any money because you are cluless to tyour own business. You abviously don't know your business for crap. Look at MMR and tell me how many 06 E55s have ran in the last two months? Here I will help you since you havent a clue probally on even how to use MMR.....7....7 06 E55s oh and by the way all were over $29,000 except 2 which had over 70k and they sold for over $25000 with a fee of @$500 plus who knows what options and condition. Find one 06 E55 with 30k and loaded with options incl. Pano for $25,000 to $29000 and post the link! Post it an make sure it is not salvage, flood, fire, repo or any other crap! Come on bro.....post it! We are all waiting!

Guys, its not worth getting all crazy on my account. It's my fauly cause I invited this nonsense asking your opinions. The problem (for me) is that people will use your opinion and try to low ball me. Lets move on. If I decide to list it for sale on MBWorld (which based upon the level of conversation here) I probably will not, please refrain from telling me it's worth 25K. I can sell my M5 all day for 25K and its an 03 with 59K miles.

Also, keep in mind I have a wholesale offer over 30K in hand. It's not much over 30K but it starts with a 3. Prob gonna take it. Can't deal with tire kickers and I don't need the extra 2K.

Not true. Bought the car from a friend and he has all the repair receipts. Once again, people assuming.......

thats good if you knew the owner....what I was saying is like private sale....they wouldn't know the real damage type of deal. if you got wholesale price of 30k+.....i'd take it! and i read the mileage wrong...it is low mileage for sure! i'd sell it to wholesale asap!

Wow - quite a bruhaha over price opinions. I've been considering jumping into an E55 for a couple months now and for an '06 well equipped and lower miles I'd think you're right in the ball park low 30s - or that's what I'm finding. Now if anyone knows where I find a good one for 25ish I'd love to hear about it.....

and this 33,000 mile one ended at $25,000: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2006-...item2a02ba1e24
Neither met the reserve but it shows nobody was willing to pay more than the highest bid. The only currently listed one thats realistic is this 43,000 mile car with a $30,750 Buy It Now or Best Offer price: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2006-...item58848edd9c You could probably get it for $28K or $29K.

LOL... good job. you found the one and only piece of crap, no options, different tires E55 on Ebay. Nice comparison! Your one hell of a dealer! That unit has been on Ebay for like 7 months. That car does not even have xenon lights! Woha.....nice work! Oh and it has almost 15k more miles and about 10gs light on the options list! Keep up the good work on the board here providing good info!

I said $28K, not $25ish. Pay attention emoving. A simple check on Ebay for ended auctions will tell you what the market is doing. This 30,000 mile one ended at $29K:

At the low ball dealer trade $31
Sell it today $33
Find the right buyer $36
Sounds like a great car as long as the damage wasn't a big deal. I know what you mean about the pain of dealing with nimrods to get another $2K. Good luck.

Reasonable comments/opinions are refreshing. What's funny is the "opinions" that are lower than an offer in hand. Damage was minor and can be confirmed the Autocheck. It still has the original hood thats how minor it was.

I gotta say that now that I bought one I will let you in on my search---I wanted only a 05/06 with under 50k miles. Basically pano, keyless, and parktronic maybe seats were the min requirements. I wanted to pay obviously the realistic-cheapest number I could for said above and thought warranty would be an after thought.
YOU CANNOT - find a decent 05/06 with pano and low miles for under 30K Will not happen. Next year maybe; I am sure there are ones that have had many a story to tell.
Emoving is not preaching to the choir he I think is trying to wipe to BS from some peoples eyes.
If you want to find something cheap you eventually will find it. But at what cost later will that saving get you...I know this first hand bc I bought a porsche 911 launch edition for about 3-5k less than anyone else was listing it. Clean carfax and what have you but I found later it had been in an accident and needed a lot of suspension work and the paint job done was not great. I lost my *** on that car when I sold it!!!
Be careful and I think that is worth mid 30's!

Many Economists called that last 5 years incorrectly - do you really want to bring ECON101 into this thread?
OP car is >3

isnt it pretty simple?
shouldnt a 4 year old clean car be at 35-40% of orig MSRP?
these things listed at like 90k right?
range $31-$36, depend on area, options and miles.

You guys are a bunch of immature babies! This is a buyers market and private buyers are not going to pay that much for a car when they are everywhere right now emoving. Sure, they are rare cars indeed but on auto trader and cars there are about 150 for sale. Any type of damage will clearly drive the cars worth down considerably and personally I would never buy a car if it had any damage or had been in an accident and that is the general consensus among private buyers.
