FYI...I have about 24 hours to let the dealership know if I don't intend to trade it in before it is theirs. So if anyone is thinking about it, please think fast as I would rather not let them have it.

Emoving I want to jump on it but cant get over the merlot interior. Just my things with two tone seat colors. If it was solid I would go out to Denver and buy it. I am just too picky.

I owned 3 AMG's with black interiors and just couldn't take another so I look for what seemed like ages until I found the perfect car with a Merlot interior. That being said, color choices are very subjective so I can respect someone not liking the combo...even if it is the best.

I know this is a e55 thread but I came across a 2008 bmw 335xi coupe with 30K miles that was for sale locally for $24K as the guy was getting transferred overseas and the car had to go in a week and was looking to get like $500 over what carmax would give him.
The car was white with red interior and I just could not see myself in something like that. Ideally I am not looking for a bmw but the price was so good I figured I could buy drive for a few months and as it was an XI model sell in the winter time and make a few buck.
Anyways I passed as if I got this and an e55 came around I would not be able to get it and for all my luck a great e55 deal would come while I had this and would have to pass.
No rush on my end just need to find one that I love on all levels.

White over Red is one of the more desirable colors in a BMW (that doesn't involve a blue exterior). Son, you need to expand your horizons!

2003 E500- 24k miles!
Hey Carl you finally made the decision to sell the beast! My vote is the SL65
As for the car, I did see it for the first time a couple weeks ago. Not sure why I've lived in Colorado 5 years and it's the first time we've met up??? At this price I hope someone from MBWorld gets it.
I will start off by saying Carl is a true car enthusiast with impeccable attention to detail. Based on the Miles (The low miles show), CPO, Condition in and out, E63 bumper conversion, killer options, Tectite paint (Best E55 paint color ever ) and tasteful mods this car is a steal! It's a VERY clean car and you can tell it's been a garage queen. Eisenmann exhaust has the perfect sound and an expensive bonus ($3K). The MP wheel is probably my favorite mod, you're always touching the steering wheel right? Plus he did the E63 Paddle conversion (I want these in my car Carl!!!) Another ($1,250) The E63 conversion looks awesome.
One other point I think is important and something you need to consider when looking at 03's: Even though it's an 03, since it's still under MB CPO you can still get a 3 year extended warranty through Chrysler Service contracts. If you have any questions feel free to PM me. However, if you're in the market for an E55 you can not go wrong with this one. GLWS!

Emoving,
in regards to what I am looking for I am totally open to options as nothing will turn me off if it does not have something. Color as well is open as most are silver and black really does not matter. I will not buy one that has the two tone interior. I respect those that like it and know it is unique and sets it apart from most of those out there but it just is not for me. In terms of money I am willing to pay up to about $28K and know that limits me to a 2003 or 2004 which is fine and want under 60K miles.
So there it is. When one comes along like this and it is in good shape I will get it. There is no rush as I have a sweet 2000 clk430 convertible and it is summer time. I continue to keep my eye out on these forums as I will only buy from a private seller as well. The cars and deals here are much better than what I see on craigslist and ebay I rarely find anything that is worthy of looking into. I looked at a few in my area at local dealerships and found that at the Mercedes dealer there where for sale for insane amounts of money and the other car lots I found a few at where cars that looked like they came from an auction that nobody else wanted as they where not in good shape.
Once again still looking but needs to be what I want not want anyone else things I should get. I do love this one here if it was not for the interior.
