2001 clk55 amg
car is perfect condtion driven by my wife only.
Silver, black interior with maple wood amg wheel and all options except the navigation.
it has a small quarter sized indent on the rear quarter panel from some jackarss hitting it in a parking lot.
car is great condition except for that small dent... it has 81,000 miles and plus whatever we drive it till sold
looking to get $11,500 for the car
price adjusted pm me for pics

The 01 CLK55 should be slightly faster than an 04 CLK55 since, despite having 20 less hp, it's considerably lighter. The 03 was when they went to pillar-less windows, which introduced a lot of weight. They also didn't upgrade the CLK to supercharged in 03, like they did on most other models (E, CL, SL, S).

My primary reason for comparing the two is styling to be honest, I've had a range of performance cars and it's not really my priority anymore, though I am attracted to the 498hp of the E55's as well. There's always been an appeal to this body style though, decisions decisions!

yes the car is quicker then the 03+ clk55 amg since its the same na 5.5 engine in a much lighter package. and me personally i like the look of the w208 chasis better. Blackbenz on the forums who has a 01 clk55 with a kleemann supercharger has the 1/4mile record for mercedes and one of the fastest mercedes in the country.
its marketing purposes they both have the same hp and same tq just underated like the e55 are
01- 342hp 391tq
03- 362hp 391hp
trades only for a 02-05 escalade for my growing family
