2003 SL500 - Rare Designo Black, Near Mint Condition $31,000 (MA)
2003 Black on Brown Mercedes SL500 Designo Espresso Launch Edition (Black on Caramel Interior) with 41.5k miles, located in MA. Designo package, Launch Edition (nicer wheels than sport pkg) and parktronic for options. The Designo pkg has MUCH nicer interior everywhere in the car, very few Designo blacks were made, almost all of them were an off beige color.
Condition: Platinum Coverage warranty from Fidelity Warranty Services till 11/25/11 or 59,008 miles. I have been the owner for the last 2 years and have service records. I have maintained this car with the intention of holding onto it forever but I have recently moved and bought a more practical vehicle. Service B completed this spring, new spark plugs, fuel filter, auto transmission service and oil change last month $$$. Front & Rear brakes done within the last year. Front tires have plenty of tread, rears need to be replaced soon. Last month had a new ABC pump, valve cover resealed, new FL ball joint and alot of other warranty work completed. No warning lights in the car, everything works except the soft close trunk. I was told it's covered under warranty but it would not fail when I brought it to the dealership. Garaged winters, professionally detailed almost monthly when it was on the road. I was told by Chambers Mercedes Natick that it was one of the cleanest / nicest condition used SL500's they have seen. Plenty of times I have been asked if the car was brand new.
KBB private party excellent is $34,325. Edmunds private party outstanding is $31,268. This car more than justifies the excellent and outstanding ratings. Would like to get $31,000 for it and prefer to do business with someone in the local area.
