I can't look into the topic starters wallet. Or storage space. But I'd seriously consider keeping this car, as it is in such a fine condition. Whatever way you are going to spin it, you're going to take an enormous financial hit. Keeping it gives you the opportunity to enjoy it from time to time.

Johno530, yes, I was just about to pull the trigger on that SL65 in Tampa, however, my service adviser advised against buying from Tampa as the salt air and humidity are not a friend to cars, so I passed.

How many miles on your SL65? What Year?
I have lived in Ft. Lauderdale since 1998 and I haven't heart anyone talk or have any concerns about salt air other than the people that live directly by the beach. If the car had high mileage and was parked by the beach, this would be a concern otherwise Florida cars are in much better shape than in many other states especially the ones that have snow during the winter. With 9k miles, it seems that the car was hardly driven, I wouldn't be very concerned about it.

By the way, bump for selling your car at a great price! That is my dream car, I wish I had the money I would have jumped on it!

To OP: Have you considered selling your car on consignment? Has always worked for me in the past. In any event, GLWS!!!

Thank you for the response, you're right on target! Yes, I have been considering consignment, but I like doing my homework first. I've visited two consignment shops, and will be visiting another today, then I'll pick one that I think will work best for selling a CLK BS. I need to move it out of my garage as I think I've found a SL65 and might be pulling the trigger tomorrow. Only if I could convince my wife to let me keep the BS too, I would be car bliss, but I don't think that's going to happen....

C'mon Todd, that's easy. Women LOVE convertibles. Tell her the SL is actually for her and that you can see her in the car going shopping for some Jimmy Choo's

Thank you admin, however, by moving OP's thread down into the depths of the classified section (while correctly locating the thread) you have greatly reduced the visibility of the thread and by doing so, diminished OP's chances of selling the vehicle - which seems to have been the reason you cleaned the thread in the first place...

I recommend a new service man. Florida is like Southern California. Unless you are driving the cars into the Ocean (or Gulf), it's among the best climate available for a car.
