The Transmission if it fails cost $1800 to rebuild...that is less then a tranny for a Toyota Tundra....

ABC components? yeah they go bad...
I have currently a 90k mile CL65 2005 with ALL THE ORIGINAL ABC parts...AND IT is perfect....

I personally buy 65's with excess of 60k miles...and I dont feel comfortable buying one with lower miles even though I can afford a new one with 5 miles easy............ Knock on wood and on my 15th 65...I havent spent crap in repairs....the more you drive them the longer they go before an issue.....

Point is that for what you get and the quality of these cars....the prices on them right now ARE STUPID cheap..

And for the babies who complain about warranties and repairs...... try buying a M5 or A8 or even a G37 sedan as well....these cars actually cost more to fix then a S65 ...and those cars are a joke in performance to the S65

in reality

We have a car here folks that can outrun a Gallardo and a F430...and can easily see 250k miles without a HITCH......and for under $50k...WHAT?

LOL
Was only a question of time until you'd chime in
We all know that you are madly in love with the 65's

Pacman,

Why did you wait so long to mention the warranty? That is a MAJOR selling point! What exactly is the mileage / date the car is covered until, what is the deductible and how much is the transfer fee?

No, hes a dealer. So any dealer can come here and say they have owned the most cars. That is why he trolls back here in the FS threads.

But I do agree with his warranty statement. People ack like you need warranty to own one of these cars. If you drive like a moron and drag race your car every weekend, you may want a warranty. If you drive like you have common sence and drive it like a MB not a dragste, the warranty will never pay for itself IMO. My 03 E55 I sold 2 years ago to a Canadian member with 55k. He daily drives it and has had no issues in 2 years. So a $3900 2 year warranty would have been pissed away.

With all due respect to the # of V12TT's that you've owned, I don't see how it's possible statistically for anyone else to have the same experience as yours. Given the complexity of the car and the tightness of the V12TT in the engine compartment (often having to remove engine to fix things), it's VERY easy to spend $10k/yr. My 3 simple visits in three months would probably have already been $7-10k if not covered by warranty. While I agree that perhaps some things may not NEED to be done and perhaps MB was trying to get as much work done as possible, things like the ABC line out(red error code on dash) and then having to do Rodeo...or this past week, whining noise turning out to be both the dampner AND the need to replace the power steering/ABC pump (which is VERY COMMON if you talk w/ anyone w/ ABC) - all these add up to everyone's same conclusion: have as much warranty as possible so it doesn't ruin your day/year, and if not, be prepared to spend $10k+/yr on repairs.
P.S. It's an AWESOME car, and so are Ferrari's - but S600 is still a better smile generator for daily driving.

So if retardedmunk is a dealer who seems to sell many 65's, I would take any advice that he gives on 65's with a grain of salt. He surely has a vested interest in promoting them!
Good call emoving!
bzliteyear's post makes a lot of sense. I have read many posters advise people not to own one of these cars without a warranty.

PLEASE THIS IS A FS THREAD!!!

I appreciate all the chime ins and personal experience advice with the v12tt but this car is for sale and not trying to have thread become a pissing contest between members on this forum...please if you do know of anyone interested in this vehicle send him/her my way...here is some more info:

warranty is through Oct. 2012/ 100000 miles...car currently has 70-71k deductible on warranty is only $100 and it covers the vehicle bumper to bumper...the most recent coverage claim we had costed over $5k and all we paid was $100...and no wait either car was in and out of shop in less then a week, and they also cover rental reimbursement. Transfer fees on policy will be around $200-300 and there will not affect coverage at all...thanks

lol u guys r a trip

Yes I have a dealer license....do I make money with it? Nope....I use it primarily for buying my own cars and friend's cars ....

I own a construction company which is my source of income....

Both My 65's are registered to my NAME and 8 of the others were as well...NOT THE DEALER NAME....

I have put over 125k miles on all the 65's combined and spent $450 in repairs.....

The highest mile AMG I have owned was a S55 with 228k miles.....and the car was on only 2 replaced struts and one pump and thats it....all original a/c etc....

Start a new thread!

Pacman,

Your thread was highjacked because you asked to much, didn't initally include important facts (like the warranty) and copped a 'tude.

I suggest you start a new post, include ALL the pertinent facts (warranty, etc) and seriously consider getting real on you price if you want any interest. IMHO

Its not that im copping an attitude, but the solid fact that most of the post aren't in one bit related to purchasing the vehicle and if I start another post its still going to happen so might as well just persist on asking people to not post unless pertaining on helping out or buying the car and FYI the car is a s65amg 06-07 with lots of goodies and professional work done to it for what I have read on here people are telling me(without the now known fact that i do have a warranty thats worth $3-4k) to be asking for $38-39k so you do the math:

$38-39k + $3-4k = $41-43k I'm asking $41,500.00 for everything and all the accessories...more then a fair price...the only related info on this thread so far are the posts about the Mannheim auto auction comparisons but those cars have no warranties at all unless being sold by mercedes...

so please as stated before I appreciate the info and comments about the v12tt but trying to sell the car, not have a pissing contest about info...thanks

Fair enough. In the interest of selling the car, can you elaborate on the Renntech tune? What was done and was it dynoed?

BTW, drop the 07 label? It is a 220 body so it is an 06! BIG difference. Labeling it an 06-07 just hurts your cred IMHO.

In reference of the vehicle, from personal experience selling cars and knowing of cars if the vehicle date built was nov 06 printed on the door sill which can be considered 07 FYI cause that means that the vehicle was in transit to the dealer to be sold...also the car was equipped with the RennTech PKG1 and we had it taken care of by our friend in RennTech but I dont recall if he dynoed it or not...we can get it dynoed without a problem at our expense but only if trully interested in vehicle and that would be the deal breaker, receipt should suffice for that. The only other RennTech item is the lowering module, other then that the car has a couple more extras such as the V1 radar detector in the rear view mirror, Custom bosch air horns, w221 style LED tail lights, OEM 19" titanium AMG wheels, MoBridge Ipod BlueTooth module, 6000K D2S bulbs and full car LED bulb swap, Blackout OEM grill, Laser Jammers built into the fornt bumper grills, roof spolier and trunk spoliers. that is about it...thanks

The year of the car is based on what's written on the window sticker and coded into the VIN. It doesn't matter when the car is shipped, sold, etc. Cars can sit on lots for years. As noted before, a 2006 is a W220, a 2007 is a W221. There's a big difference in the model year. If you mean the in-service date, which is when Mercedes starts the warranty clock, that is different from the model year. That's nice to point out since it affects the warranty end date.

Noted, but production date tells you when the car was made and thats stamped on the sticker in the door sill, to me thats the important info cause thats the true born date of the car and also it tells you that it was one of the last ones built which means also that it has the least glitches and problems with it. Besides that the s65 was only put out for 2 yrs 2005-2006 till the w221 was put on sale in 2009 cause thats when we got it on pre-order lol...also like you said it makes good info for warranty related circumstances, but please help me give it a new home...thanks

New Price including everything and warranty $39,500.00!!!

This car needs a new home we need to make room for the new one replacing it...thanks

You're still a good way away from the 36k anyone here expressed interest at so don't act like someone here was interested at 39. Maybe you should just put it on sleezebay and see what a real world price brings? At the end of the day you are offering a relatively high mileage, older body style car. Regardless of mods and warranty the market is thin. Poeple who could afford 39k have lots of other options, people who cannot might be interested at a lower price in you car.

Don't get me wrong, wish you all the luck in the world with the sale but you are either going to have to make it a great deal or be very patient in this market / economy. Sorta like Florida real estate; great time to be a buyer, really sucks to be a seller.

Another option would be to take a trade. Six months ago I was selling a low mileage '07 E350 Sport and because Mercedes was giving $10,000 off new '09's to make room for the redesigned '10's, I couldn't give mine away. Had it on Ebay 5 times, on Autotrader, cars.com, CL, etc. Nothing. Finally advertised that I would take a trade and was able to make a deal with a guy who had a broken Lotus plus a little cash and got rid of the car.

As I had already asked if it doesnt pertain to you trying to ask questions or trying to buy the vehicle, please restrain from posting sacastic remarks on my vehicle or price im asking...you have members asking $36,000 for E55 on this forum(for 3k more you get a car that not only looks sick but comes with a faster and bigger everything...), why dont you go and harrass them...yeah the car has 70k in miles but try and find one in good condition, or even better find one for sale...they do not go on sale very often and you cannot find one under $40k with no damage, this is a great deal that has as many goodies for the price...please do not post unless you are trying to purchase, and yeah people might have other options but to be honest what kind of car can you get for under $40k that will stand next to this one??? dont think you can find one...if you have any other comments or remarks please PM me...thanks

38,000 miles is big leap from 70K. It looks nice but then why did this one only bring $28K

Yeah i see that but it didnt sell buddy the other one did, neither one with warranty, and both bone stock...the one you posted its reserve is over $35k and needs new tires...mine has new tires, existing warranty, no hits, no dents, no flaws, a bunch of extras, and has been driving and treated better then you would know...overall no comparison, only in the mile range other then that nope!!!

Well it's 39+mods that's pretty close to 36k. Even at that someone in the market for a 36k car isn't going to mind paying 39k for a cleaner car. Geez 3k is going to make a break or sale on 40k car man the world is cheap these days lol. This isn't a Honda civic you're buying this is a 36-39k car it's pretty close. If you're worried about a 3k swing you probably shouldn't be buying a S65 in the first place, 3k is the gas bill lol if you drive it enough depending where you live.
