Found the perfect e55
Ok,
I have had my eyes on an e55 for years and if I could pick the perfect one it would be a 2005 or 2006, black, keyless go, vented seats, and pano roof and finally under 60K miles. I came across the exact car at carmax:

What do you all think? Carmax prices are usually a bit high but their cars are usually impeccable as I bought a car from them like 9 years ago. My question is what do you all think they would give me for my 2000 clk430 with 56K miles? I tried to private sell a few times in the 14k range and got no bites and just could not part ways with it for much less. Now I am a bit inclined to let it go if I found the right car.
What do you think they will give me for the car? Like 10K? I looked it up on KBB but they are always a bit high and it was 12,900.
Any thoughts?

It is a good place to get a gauge of what type of lowball prices you would take. I do see now and again on craigslist people selling cars really cheap and when you talk to them they say if I don't get x amount I am taking it to carmax in 3 days as they already know what they will give them and at time will sell for a few hundred more than that.

I'd make sure ....
to take a close look before I lose my head. That's full boat retail for an 06 E55, not that there is anything wrong with that. But I see at least one curbed wheel, one off brand tire, and a fairly worn driver's seat bolster. That's far from perfect. In our area, Carmax has decent cars, but nothing really special. That much money and out of warranty, I'd get an onsite inspection and go from there. And no, I'd be shocked if they were to offer you any number with 5 digits in it for your CLk. Costs nothing to ask though. Good luck....
