I think your $20k asking price (in the ad) is more than fair (assuming no accidents or major work needed)

This car is a hot potato. It has passed between several folks several times in the past 2 months. I heard from a friend who checked the car out for me they (the dealership) claimed that it had stretched head bolts which caused some coolant issues which damaged the motor. A new motor was supposedly put in by MB. In subsequent discussions with them directly it was never disclosed. Seeing it getting passed around like a hot potato leads me to believe it still has some serious issues.

I sold my 63 in Dec and tempered myself with great deal on a nice black GL550. I now see a Capri Blue 63 wagon; just like what I wanted.... I'm consoled with that fact that its a bit out of the price range and that I got a great deal on the GL550. Now I just need to figure how to back into some Kleemann headers and superchargers and then I'm set.

I checked out the car a couple months ago, carfax disclosed a rental use and it was rough. Also saw the dealer repair work order- no new motor just replaced the head bolts and sealed back up. It appeared to have some paint work done. When I saw "towed in motor locked up" on the sheet it was time to go..

 

I thought about it when detailing my car today, and to tell you the truth I can't think of any other car I would rather own for the money. I am not going to put a price on it, because I would regret selling it if someone offered the right number. Sorry!
