I have not seen any other information on that particular E55, I try to post everything I can so other owners can make informed purchase decisions.
What do you mean you are going to "look" at the car? If you win the auction, you own it right? I was always under the impression that inspections were to be completed prior to placing a bid.
Maybe I have been out of the loop for awhile, have "auction" rules changed
![nix](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/nixweiss.gif)
Post your driving impressions and some pictures and have fun with your new "sleeper"

Spoke with the dealer this weekend on this one....
Dealer doesn't have any info on either of the wrecks (they happened when the car was in Arizona, where it was originally sold.) Hood and fender have been repainted though, so it was more than just a minor bumper tap. Apparently after the first wreck the car was traded in and sold to the 2nd owner as MB CPO. After 2nd wreck that owner eventually traded it in with current miles: 82k+.
According to dealer, car just had motor and transmission mounts replaced by BH Benz, as well as a standard A service. Brakes were done at 75k miles (7k ago) and all else is *supposedly* in good shape but I haven't seen it in person. They also have extensive records and it's apparently always been serviced at MB dealers.
Here's a link to the original bill of sale from MB Tucson: http://www.mercedesoftucson.com/po/M000780A.pdf
Looks like no 3rd row, but does have Avant Garde package, alcantara headliner and birdseye maple interior....nice options.
I was going to go see it today and consider buying, but the car was out for smog and not available to be shown today.
I really like the car and have been wrestling with the choice all weekend. I just can't pull the trigger without a warranty. At the current eBay price of ~$25k it's seems like a good deal, but I'd have to add a warranty, which I was quoted $4k for 2yrs/100k for basic or $6k for same but full Platinum pkg via Fidelity.
Anyone else considering buying it, have test driven it, or have any thoughts on this one?

Even at their BIN price, the car seems reasonably priced if the damage is not extensive.

Well, I was the high bidder on the white "Unicorn" E63 wagon on Ebay however the reserve wasn't met. I phoned up the seller and we struck a deal on the phone for the car. I should be picking it up later this week/early weekend.
I did it sight unseen, which is EXTREMELY risky, but knowing the type of vehicle Mercedes would sell and put their name on from the dealership, I'm not super worried about it.
Apparently the car had been out for smog/detailing for the past few days and isn't even available to be seen yet. (I can't confirm that, but that's what he said.)
I had to sell my 03 E55 to buy my house. That car had two prior accidents, but I still loved every minute driving it. I couldn't let this very rare wagon slip through my fingers just because of it's history. I'm hoping it was really repaired well through a MB dealership.
I'll drop a line once I pick it up and let you know how it is.
Happy to be a E63 wagon owner! Now if I can only see the thing in person!
