Not sure of 1/1 in that combo as I've seen quite a few 14s with that color. Maybe for the prefacelift though.

Correct, from everything i've found there isn't another 2012 with the matte white finish.

Lot of w211 wagons for sale right now. I just checked autotrader and found 3 2007 E63 and 4 2005 E55 wagons. Most I have ever seen on offer.

One of the E63s (the one in Windemere, FL) has been listed for a while and I've never gotten a response from the seller. Seems like most of the others for sale are 60k+ mile examples.

Where are all the low-mile wagons for sale?!

The E55 wagons are now 8-10 years old (late '06 build back to early '05) so you aren't going to find many with low miles. Even though many of these have only ~8K/year put on them, that now adds up to 65K-80K miles.

Granted the E63 wagons are newer. But IIRC the majority were '07 models, and the sales declined significantly in '08-'09. So most E63 wagons are 7 years old, and most seem to have 50K-70K miles.

Who is the lucky person that purchased the Black E55 Wagon that was listed here for $39,990?
http://enthusiastauto.com/qsearch/?f...74_0=1&x=9&y=9

And this E63 Wagon sold very quickly and it didnt even have the P2 package! In fact, it sold so quickly that hardly anyone noticed it ever was listed:
http://www.ardemotorcars.com/invento...=Mercedes-Benz

There is no doubt that E55/E63 Wagon prices are skyrocketing! The other Alabaster White E55 Wagon at Enthusiast Auto will probably sell fast and close to the asking price.

Hi Jim,

I noticed the extensive list of maintenance itmes, is this "normal" for an E55?

Regards, PW

Yes, all these items are pretty common on an E55 specifically, and any nine year old car generally. Most of the repairs were made to maintain the car in near new condition. It's an enthusiast car, and hence is expected to drive well, not leak any fluids, not make any unexpected noises, etc. As an example, any nine year old Toyota Camry is going to need front sway bar bushings just as much - but nobody would ever spend the money to remedy that problem on such a car.

One of the tires is from eptyres.com. Never heard of that brand before, but I get red flag warnings when seeing no-name tires on a premium vehicle like an AMG. Maybe it's just me...
Same car. EAG will help drive the values up, but at the same time they will scoop up ill informed sellers. Who loses? The enthusiast wanting to score a wagon at a fair price. EAG built their business scooping up M vehicles - e39, e46, e30, etc. To those of you that are truly in the market to buy, I suggest you have proper financing or the cash to make a quick buy.

Posting a Craigslist link is almost useless, as they expire (or are deleted) and then we have no idea what was there.

Everyone, please, when you post a link about a car for sale... could you take the extra 30 seconds and also copy/paste the title of the ad, and the text? At least a year, model, and price? Color and VIN would be great if available.

07 E63 06 CLK55 Cab 03 P-car C4S
hi all,
good luck to all.
sorry to bother, but i'm thinking this group's the most enthusiast about driving experience.

my 2007 E63 is GREAT and stops great, but the brake pedal feel is a big vague/soft on the first 1/2 inch and then it suddenly GRABS, so it's difficult to do smooth stopping. My 06 CLK55AMG I think has the same 6 caliper and large discs and is MUCH MORE LINEAR/FIRM on the pedal feel.

Can anyone explain why the feel is so different and if I can get the E63 brakes to act more like the CLK55? Thx everyone.

PL

Every post-facelift w211 (AMG and otherwise) I have driven has brakes as you describe. Essentially no effort or feedback in the range of normal/everyday braking force. Then it firms up once you get on it more aggressively. My wife drives a Bluetec diesel that operates as described. There was not the slightest bit of difference following a brake fluid flush. I think it's just part of the deal with the non-SBC cars.
