Even if all fixed now, would it be a big concern if Carfax shows the following repairs on a 2006 E55 Wagon, esp the one for $18k? 12/18/2011 REPAIRS LEFT SIDE $1,556.96 12/18/2011 NO DETAILS LEFT SIDE $0.00 09/17/2012 REPAIRS FRONT $17,932.64 09/17/2013 REPAIRS RIGHT SIDE $1,296.71
Carfax shows all this information, even the cost of repairs?

You would consider buying a car with a that much repair done, and who knows the type of accident....Almost $18,000 to repair the front?!?! Maybe he had a gold plated, diamond crusted front bumper.

It would have to be priced very aggressively, and I still wouldn't buy it without time to drive and inspect it. An $18K repair is a whole lot of damage. Had to be close to a total writeoff. Are you sure the title is clean?
A Canadian company like carfax called Carproof gives this info. The car is in Vancouver, BC although it actually originated from a dealer near me in Belmont, CA.
Ended up buying this car. I had the car inspected beforehand and after getting a few services and minor repairs done by a shop, I flew to Vancouver and drove it back to the Bay Area this weekend.
48k miles including a long, rainy but enjoyable 987 mile drive (21.4 mpg avg) from Vancouver to San Jose. Loaded with just about every option (xenon, dynamic/heated seats, 3rd row, keyless go,etc) except distronic. One nagging flaw is that Keyless Go push button ignition start isn't working. Thanks for pointing out the post Richardmozis!

Nice pick up! Any additional paperwork registering a car from Canada? Post some pics!

Congrats. Hope you enjoy it. I never once saw 20 mpg in mine. Must be that low speed limit in Oregon...

It had to go through US Customs and Border Protection (inspection and paperwork) but what made it a lot easier is that the car was imported to Canada from the States so exporting it was relatively simple and was exempt from any type of duties. I'll post a photo in a bit.

Congrats! I'm in the Bay Area as well, so if you see me around (mostly driven by my wife) honk and wave hi! She's already used to car enthusiasts waving hi.

To bad I was not working would have loved to check it out.

Hey cool--this is mostly the wife's car also replacing an older but reliable W210 E320 wagon.
AMGoneday--would've liked to have met. I hung around Vancouver for a few hours and had some time to kill before heading back. Where are you at?
Yeah I actually took this shot after I crossed the border at Blaine when it was hailing a little bit. All stock, no mods and I plan to keep that way since wife is primary driver. Needs a tint on the windows though, yeah?
