I have a 2006 C55 with 45k miles.

Silver on black interior with xenons, rain sensor wipers, rear sunshade, harmon kardon, 6-disc cd, and sat radio.

The car went in service September of 2007 and is still under the factory 4yr/50k mile warranty.

I purchased the car from the dealer when the original owner turned in their lease, so this is also a CPO car.

Once the original 4yr/50k mi warranty ends, the CPO warranty takes effect for another 12mo/100k miles (whichever happens first).

Since I took ownership, the car has been garage kept, dealer serviced with oil changes every 5k miles, and only filled with 93 octane fuel.

I'm located in southern NJ outside of Philadelphia.

Since you didnt pay for the warranty why are you adding for it. I think your $26500 price is fair, your other is in E55 territory and there is no comparisson.

the CPO does not transfer anymore per new policy, just sold my CPO'd c63 and found that out at the dealer, but the buyer was ok with it

Will be trading into dealer within next week or so.

$24,750 takes it... entertaining all offers.

emoving - Warranty was purchased immediately after I purchased the vehicle in order to get the best price.

tasho3 - I was unaware of this. Is the new policy retroactive to vehicles purchased prior to 2009? i.e. can they go back and change the CPO warranty contract?

I do know that the extended warranty is transferrable per the contract.

i believe it is transferable IF the car is bought from the owner. The second a dealer gets involved, it is gone.

like you I was unaware too when we sold the C63, we bought it at MB of Chicago April 2010 as a CPO and when we sold it a few weeks ago, the buyer wanted to inspect it at MB dealer and when we got there the SA told us that the CPO does not transfer from seller to buyer, even if both parties are not dealerships. Luckily the buyer didn't mind it and the deal went thru.

If you sell your Certified Pre-Owned Mercedes-Benz to a private party, its new owner can continue the Extended Limited Warranty coverage.

I have not had any dealings with the sales arm of fj/chicago but i have with the service center who is fine for anything warranty related.



After that, all I can say is lube up and grab ankles if you want them to do the work, if it needs to be done at all. Their sales and 90 bay service centers recently opened and these places simply must get paid for.



By the way, for only $1000 they will change spark plugs in a clk55.
And for a few hundred more they will toss in an "induction cleaning".
