FS/FT: 1986 Mercedes 560 SEC widebody AMG kit *NICE* (Long Island, NY)
1986 Mercedes Benz 560 SEC
VIN: WDBCA45D6GA197708
73,xxx original miles!!
The car is a Gen2 US spec vehicle, but has a full repro AMG widebody kit all around with fully custom European spec bumpers and headlights.
The car is OEM factory "Signal Red" on "Cream Mushroom". The car has just received a full cosmetic restoration including a full paint job and newly refinished wheels.
Mechanics:
The car starts right up every time. Engine runs strong and idles perfectly. The transmission feels great, shifts perfect, and does not slip. The car car has never been molested or modified mechanically and has always been very well maintained. Clean and clear history and title, and all service records included.
Exterior:
The car has just received a full paint job in its original Mercedes Benz "Signal Red" color. The car was stripped down completely; all trim, emblems, glass, bumpers, lights, etc were removed. Inside of trunk, hood, and door jambs were repainted as well. The car is cosmetically immaculate.
Wheels & Suspension:
17" AMG wheels made by OZ. 12" wide rears with a 5" lip and 10" fronts with a 3.5" lip. The wheels have just been finished with the centers done in matching "Signal Red". Brand new tires 315/35 rears and 275/40 front. The car is also lowered on H&R sport springs with the original SLS suspension in perfect working order. The entire set up looks amazing!
Interior:
The interior is "Cream Mushroom" and is clean but could use some TLC. The rear seats could use a reupholster job, as well as the rear deck panel. The front seats are a little sun faded and could use a dye job. The wood is cracked in certain areas but is presentable. Door panels, dash, carpeting, and headliner are all presentable as well. Personally I would have the entire interior redone down the road so it looks as good as the exterior. But I will leave it up to the future owner to do is to his or her preference.
Electronics:
The audio system needs to be redone as the rear speakers blew and have been removed. The headunit is also very outdated. All OEM electronics work perfectly however including all windows, sunroof, lights, horns, locks, mirrors. The car has custom taillights done to look like the taillights on the modern AMG cars such as the SL 55, etc. The headlights are OEM European spec BOSCH units with custom painted black housings and smoked corners to replace the original ambers. The lights really sets the car apart from other SEC's.
The Bad:
The interior could use some TLC. The audio system. The passenger side fog light lens is cracked. The driver side seat belt presenter is malfunctioning. When the car was being repainted the interior door panels were removed, and the power seats were unplugged. They currently do not work, but I suspect it's a small fix, either they forgot to replug the connectors or plugged it in wrong. I haven't had time to have it fixed but it shouldn't make or break a deal since it is a faily easy fix. The seats worked 100% before repainting the car.
Asking $25,000 obo. Will also consider trades for a nice daily driver.

Hey just did some "spring" time maintenance. Fresh fluids, filters, plugs, water pump, etc.
Car really needs nothing except the corners of the hood repaired. The hinges on the hood are not bent and the hood opens and closes perfectly.
Money is tight and I really need to sell this car to get into a cheap daily driver that is good on gas.
Going very low, $10,000 firm.

Man does that car take me back! I was 16 and my neighbor who was one of the most successful coke dealers in the area had one in you guessed it. White. Seems like a great price GLWS!

PS -- the power front seats have been fixed and now function properly in all directions. was a minor connection issue.
