Anyone interested in working a trade?

I have a 2009 Challenger SRT8 (17k miles) with a Magnacharger, Powercoated pinstriped wheels, Lockpick installed, Flowmasters, CAI. 497HP to wheels then added CAI. SC install and tune done by HHP in Delaware.

I am looking for a SL AMG car preferably an 07 or 08 but will entertain offers. I understand that I will have to bring money to the table, just feeling this out. Please let me know if anyone has any interest.

You may find it hard to get someone to want to trade (even with additional money) a Mercedes for a Challenger when the brand and cost difference is so significant. No offense intended. Good luck.

In all fairness, his Challenger is on par value wise with a 03-04 SL55 with normal mileage. Guess if the right person comes along a deal could be struck. Good luck sir!

Honestly, I was just throwing it out there. Actually everyone who knows my car thinks the opposite, and that I am the crazy one for even thinking about getting rid of it for the SL.

However, summer coming, I already have an S550, and a convertible would be nice. Just going to be a major loss of power for me. I will post pics at some point just so it is known what I have. Not the standard run of the mill Challenger. Like brand new with tasteful rims, and really professional upgrades.

I guarantee I get more looks now that I will once I get into an SL. I cannot get gas or pull into a Wawa without having a conversation. Not that I have anything against any Mercedes obviously since I own one, but the Challengers are awesome cars. I just have a car sickness in that I get tired of them rather quickly.

Thank you. I just need to find the person who wants to change to a muscle car with significantly more power. If I had the Benz first, I am the type that would make the trade to get into something different. I just always need to change vehicles every year or 2. I'm 38, and had over 40 cars and counting......Thanks again!

better off getting 04-05 SL55 is your best bet. You can get one for under 35k with low mileage.

I am really worried about the AMG's though. I hate to get an older one as I know if they do fail ,they are really expensive to have repaired. I am looking at an 07. Really nice one with 31k on it. Really loaded up too. I am going to start working on finding out how I can get a warranty on it.

Thank you. I did mean miles. I think it is very reasonable priced the one I am looking at too. 52k shipped (cross country). Has AMG package. 148k Sticker. Best deal I can find so far for an 07.

If you paint your new SL in that screaming orange, I bet it'll get a lot of looks/attention as well!

Interestingly, the Challenger is based on a Mercedes E class body. If you want performance, a SL55, 600, or even 65 will likely make you pretty happy, and are all modifiable if you want more. The 550 is not going to be in the same league, performance wise, but there are models that will be.

I agree. That is why I am going to go with the SL55 with 030. I know it is still not even going to be close to the Challenger, but fast enough for now. I just know that it would cost me a TON to get this car to run what my Challenger does right now. Not comparing, I know we are talking totally different levels of car here for sure, but I will miss the power for sure.
