WTB: W126 SEC AMG (long shot I know)
I know it's a long shot, but i've been looking for years so I figured I would join this forum and give it a try.
So heres the " wish list"
A 500 or 560 SEC from 1984 to 1991. I know AMG was an independent tuner back then, so I am looking for one with what we now would call the "sport pack." AMG Bodykit, Pentas or BBS rs wheels, sport suspension (dreaming right?), full color treatment. The SOHC engine is fine, due to reliability issues I hear with the DOHC one.
That being said, I do have a pulse, and a wide body SEC with DOHC..... Can't say no to that!

Have you checked eBay, as several are for sale and there are a bunch on AutoTrader as well.
A genuine widebody AMG with the DOHC engine will set you back a cool $30-$35K

Well to be specific.
A Gen 1 euro with SOHC engine with 2 row timing chain conversion.
I would love a gen 2 euro (maybe 1989-91) with SOHC but understand the is very rare due to the federalization/cost issues.
The full on AMG widebody is a dream, but due to running costs and rarity of parts ( ie. 3 piece wheels) its a bit too much for me. Looking to drive the car on a semi-regular basis. (sunny days)
Color would be white with tan interior ideally.
I have looked on ebay and haven's seen anything of late. Do you have any links? Any help would be greatly appreciated

1984 SEC AMG Like New
Hello I have two SEC's 84 “AMG ordered buy California Duster only Maroon / Leather Brown interior I have ever seen and a 1988 SEC ordered buy a collector that waited several months to receive the car & I have been told possibly the only one built with Black interior the Holy Grail White/Black 2nd place in concours d’Elegance In Las Vegas The white Car will be shown and Judged & For Sale In California @ Legends of the AutoBahn on August 17th Both Cars are “Very Nice & are For Sale & may be worth Looking @ the Cars are exceptional & neither car has ever been listed. I only wish to sell one of the Cars

Wow, I would love to see pictures of those beauties!
However I just purchased yesterday my "dream" SEC.. 1991 560 SEC AMG done by AMG in Westmont, IL with 23,300 miles...bodykit, aero's, cosmetic treatment...

I'll post pictures in a new thread in the w126 forum, introduction of the car and me ect to the forum ...but as of right now, my new baby is getting shipped. As a "teaser" i have a few photos from the dealership it was sold at.

I am not sure how I missed this thread, but glad I found it. These must be photos from the old SEC coupe site. I would love to have a GTG of this magnitude in the near future.
