This car makes slow feel fast, best running merc I've owned and has needed the least. '85 transmission is tuned better than the older models, and the cali reduced smog is really nice.

I started driving this car about 3 years ago, have done 3 oil changes as it only got about 3k miles per year. it's due for another oil change i'd say. I'd estimate i've put 10k or so miles on it.
I just broke my dominant hand in a few places and I'm in the middle moving house as well, so work can't continue for this car with me.

there is enough paperwork to just about fill the glovebox, going way back to california records with P.O.

color is palomino on champagner metallic

It shifts really strong, could probably even be tuned to shift a bit softer in the 1-2 range and still feel quick compared to other 617s
low blow-by
very little smoke, definitely healthy turbo
see google drive for short vid of motor idling

odo stopped turning at ~260k, it is still sub 300k i would wager.

most all the interior power functions work including all windows as pictured, they're fast too. it hasn't had a radio since I got it, the power antenna hasnt been tested at all, and im sure a few things are a bit finnicky, nothing i notice when i drive it though. I had the driver/passenger seats both adjusting fully about a year ago, but they are a bit moody of late.

recent work:
front rotors/bearings/pads about 3 years ago, and a valve clearance adjustment shortly after. The alternator harness was repaired about 2 years ago. Had brake support brackets and i think a couple other suspension components but i don't want to mislead anyone without having accurate records of that work. I found a few rust spots about the same time, some elbow grease and rust-reformer product to repair spots behind the battery/front passenger wheelwell, and on the trunk lip.

~~~~~~~~~
the bad:
no a/c
the headlights are a bit dim, could definitely use the update from the OG sealed-beams, or maybe just some fresh wiring and a polish
passenger side turn signal lever (multi switch stalk) is very sensitive, it doesnt work as freely as driver-side signal
does not have a radio tuner installed - i can include the 2x kenworth/wire kit that were with the car
wants upper control arms and a front alignment - comes with 2 brand new tires mounted on 14" bundt wheels
the paint isn't good, the patina doesn't quite match across different panels either. And of course the hood is not original. the hood isn't aligned very well to the body.
It has been garaged only intermittently for a few years.
did my best to photograph to flaws in the finish and etc.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

This car has no mechanical "issues" outside of the wheel alignment. It sounds great at idle and at 4000+ RPM, and has had regular maintenance and fluid checks, i start it at least once every 2 weeks to drive a bit.

It's starting to get away from me now, I haven't been driving it very much and i want it to get into another enthusiasts hands before I move house at the turn of the year. Edit: and now i broke my hand

Included:
DELPHI upper control arms
2 full bundt size spares with new tires, and a good 3rd spare tire.
A 5qt jug of premium oil and hengst oil filter and fuel filter
2x kenwood receivers and wire kit

I want $3200 O/B/O

if you come out to test drive, you will 100% want to buy it. It really has that good of a motor/transmission. And it doesn't smoke or stink!

I will be quickest to respond to texts over email or forum messages, and feel
free to call at any reasonable hour. I welcome any and all interest, tell your TN friends and neighbors. Thanks for reading.
