All Season Tires/Driveability?

hey guys, does anyone know if this will have all season tires or dirveability through winter? I live in michigan with my parents and my mom had a BMW X5 4.6is couple years ago and that thing didnt go through snow at all. So, any word on this yet, thanks in advance.

I would love to know this also! I have the Hankook uni-directional treads that came OE from MB, They look cool and in the rain they are good, but the design pattern of the treads makes me think I will have to get snows or a more aggresive tread pattern for winter driving.

I dont know how all seasons are, I am sure they will be descent but if we have the monolithic snow we had last season again, there is gonna be plenty of mornings where your MLs are all over the place. I put on Blizzack snow tires 2 seasons ago on a 17" rim and my ML pulled out of 2.5'(Just covered the top of the fender flairs) of snow with traction control still on and NOT in low gearing.

I can tell you this FWIW yokohama AVS S/T tires are junk in .5" of snow with a lead foot, hehehe =)

Hey Fanatic I have the same setup as you I remenber you posted pics once. I have snow tires with 17" moda rims with blizzaks or what ever came with it, I order them from tirerack.com 2 years ago, good price. I love the ability to pass others cars crawling through the snow!! I live in a Hilly area so I definitely like the safety aspect as well as the better fuel economy but they look so whimmpy compared to my 285's. The tire/rim setup is made only for summer use rain etc. Snow is a whole different beast. If I didnt have them on when it counts I'd be like everyone else stuck knee deep in it!!

because in this thread you asked us about its snow going capabilities. As far as the W164 being an off roader, it no longer has a low end transfer case so its not much of an off roader
