Hi,
in Germany it's usual ( I think you have to .. ) that prices are always incl. tax ( 16%).
My options are:
-DVD NAV System
-20" rims
-Ipod connector
-cellphone connector
-metallic paint ( silver )
-parking system
-bi xenon lights ( thats an option in Germany )
-sun roof
-keyless go
-memory drivers seat ( within electr. stearing wheel and mirrors )
-dark windows ( privacy glass )
-surround system
-cd changer
I would like to have distronic and comfort seats with cooling, buut it's available after the summer.
When is DC officially giving cars to the USA ? In Germany they wanted to start in April, but I think noone has its car yet !
Bye Peter

Congratulations on your order. We all will look forward to your review and pictures when you receive the vehicle. The earliest any member has been quoted is a build schedule of September. It is very interesting that no one has seen a production vehicle with the 63 engine yet. Please keep us informed.

shoooooot thats a freaking CLS or E AMG. Way too much money IMO. It had better be a freaking monster
Anyway i did some comparison of all the Top non AMG models vs the current AMG models
The base price difference between the 500 of any model to the AMG 55 model in that class is roughly 18K(lowest is C and SLK) to 25k(highest is CL)
The base price of a ML500 is roughly 50k. so you can do the math. At 90k that would mean a 40k difference and thus the highest difference in any of the AMG models. I dont see that happening. My best guess is a 20k difference in base price of the ML500 model. So maybe a ML63 will be 70-75k base.
I think dealers are trying to cover their butts by shooting you high and maybe some are trying to charge over sticker. Most know it wont be a 90-95k car.

You can get the German price for the ML63 by going to: http://www.mercedes-benz.de/content/...nger_cars.html
The go to "Konfigurator"
Next under "Modell" look for "M-Klasse".
The base price is shown as 96.164,00 euros. I can't read German, but it doesn't appear to be have as many standard features/options as the USA version.

I also agree with amgplayer. While the ML63 is impressive, on paper. It simply does not have the off-road capabilities a Cayenne would have at the same price point, which makes the Cayenne a better value for the money, IMO.

Makes you wonder what is wrong. When Mercedes first introduced the ML63 last year they said it would be sold late spring/early summer 2006. Now, September 2006 earliest here in the USA. Instead of being an early introduction for a 2007 model, it is now going to be introduced later than their other cars. The 2007 S class and 2007 SL's are already out. Something must be goofed up and they don't want anymore bad press for poor quality cars. They delayed the introduction of the new S class for almost a year while they tried to get it right.
The Cayenne is really nice (each to their own regarding appearance) and Porsche seems to have worked out the bugs they had in the 2003's and 2004's. Owners of 2005/2006 models are not reporting many problems. And Kelly Blue Book projects that over a 5 year period the Cayenne will have the highest resale value of any SUV. It is in the top 10 of all cars in terms of resale value according to KBB.

I think the same regarding problems with the car. It's very unusual that no car magazine here in Germany ( especially the biggest "Auto,Motor&Sport" ) had more than a test ride. I read all the tests and they all look very similar that I don't believe that the writers did even ride the car.
I'm trying getting a test ride in Afalterbach and have been told by my dealer that they don't have a car there, yet. Sorry, but I don't trust this arbument.
Anyways, my car is on the ship, had left USA already and hopefully is here around Mid july.
I'm still a little scared that the car is not 100% like it should be. I'll see.....
bye, Peter
PS: Regarding the options and the base price: There is no metallic, no 20", no NAV System, NO Pre Safe, No XENON. We stupid Germans have to pay for all of this.....

Trust me I'm a little more relaxed when I finally have the car. I still can't see this car coming in 3-4 weeks.

Hi AMG Fans,
I still do not have any news about my car, but talked to my sales guy and he told me that the client who'll get the first one is still waiting on his car, too. I called a dealer, who tries to sell these cars and he told me that AMG starts delivering out the cars from June 26th on....
I really don't think, I'll get my car in 2-3 weeks.
That all looks to me that there are problems with the car because they wanted start to deliver the cars out in May. . .
I'll get a phone call tomorrow after my sales guy talked to the AMG MAN, who is responsible for our area here.
Give you Infos than....

By the way i was bored and started to compare ML63 to other cars, and ML63 is just as fast to 200 km/h or 120 mph as RS6! Thats awesome. And only a second away from CUrrent E55!
The only dissapointment i have with this car is that it doesnt have leather dash!
CUrrently i have ml350 and love it, and im considering ML63 as my next car!
P.s I wanna hear ml63 with deleted resonators!

Well, I gave up on the ML63. Decided on an ML320CDI instead. It was for my wife anyway. She said she didnt need the extra power of the 63 and it wasnt worth the extra expense, not to mention the CDI will get me double the mpg. Who am I to argue? lol
