My Ml killed 2 ipods so far...
Could not understand it the first time it happened...ipod ended up freezing when navigating through it with steering wheel buttons...ok it heated up and died....had to buy new ipod because you can only bring repairs to apple store...went to apple store and you need to make an appointment to see a clerk. cant wait 2 hours...got a new ipod...2 months go by and same thing happens again....SUCKS....

Are you guys sure it isn't the software updates on the iPod? The same thing happenned to mine but it's not attached to the vehicle (Using an fm transmitter). It was freezing from time to time untill the batteries drained and stopped happenning after I reverted back to the previous software.

I would check with MB and see if there is something wrong with your ipod integrator
