What is the top speed of ml63 derestricted?
have to say that it was a speedo reading,i was driving.must admit i didnt expect it to get to that speed ,must admit i didnt expect it to get to that ,maybe it was slightly inaccurate but not by anymore than 5mph!it got up their remarkably fast and was extemely stable felt very safe.their almost felt more left ! going to do another run with gps and vid at the weekend but i feel confident it can go quicker !
how do delimit top speed?ecu tuning?or what?

Porsche has never put a electronic limiter in any car they produced. The Cayenne numbers are drag limited.
A Maserati Quattroporte sedan which has 400hp is drag-limited to 167mph for comparison.

the gps will tell you that you maxed out at 175 or so.

From experience, and I confess that much of it was gained from riding high performance motorcycles, a question far more important than 'what top speed could I achieve' is 'if such a speed is achieved can the vehicle then handle handle such when not aerodynamically efficient?' That is, the issue is more involved than simply 'Will the aerodynamics prevent such?' The aerodynamics may well not prevent the exercise, but then turn round after granting consent and literally kill you! I had this happen more than once on immensely powerful motorcycles with design capacity to embrace panniers. One motorcycle actually had them fitted as standard. Several bikers died before the model was finally detuned. Never assume that manufacturers know what any specific vehicle can handle. They certainly fully do not.
Finally please embrace the obvious, namely that racing track vehicles capable of routinely achieving say 200 m.p.h. are a massively more sophisticated beast than a street version which can achieve a similar speed. Far, far more robust! So, even if a road vehicle can achieve a massive speed it will never be able to do so for more than a brief period. Ever watched police chases on 'Youtube' and observed how quickly brakes and tyres totally break down?
It's a very spurious exercise tuning road vehicles for more speed. Very likely they are already too fast in relation to their design capacity.
