I heard that if you delimit these cars in Europe, which is a factory option overthere, thats the top speed.

Yes its an option over here and a very expensive one. They are all limited to 250km/h and if i remember correctly an E63 owner payed 5000euros for them to move the limit to 270km/h.
Never heard of a "delimit" amg car.

any big tunner can completely delimit your car. ML63 top speed? Lets see, i remember reading that cayenne turbo with folded mirrors reached 287 im lazy to look it up on the net ( i think thats where i saw a scan article of ML55,x5 4.6 and Cayenne turbo), so I'd assume ML63 top speed should be drag limited at around 295-300?

So anyway who is up for cheking it out?

191? Wow, that's just about as fast as my 997TT, but it seems quite impossible with the shape and drag of the ML63, I would imagine it would take more than 500hp to push it to 191.

Hey P4MER Would it be impolite to ask how you got ahold of someboby at AMG that could answer that question. I can think of a few questions for someone like that!

agree the cd of the ml63 is too high to achieve that kind of velocity.

My guess with no wind, on flat ground and close to sea level: 174 mph

Have fun!

When I went to Affalterbach in August, I was given the keys to a CLS55 - and th wording in the center of the contract I signed was "the speed limiter has been removed from this vehicle".I hit 278km/h....with alot left in it!

4th gear ratio 1.368, 5th 1.0, 6th 0.82, 7th 0.728. final drive 3.45. tires 295/40-20= circumference 92".
max speed @ redline 7200rpm 4th= 132 mph
5th= 180 mph.

max you can do is redline 5th if the vehicle can overcome drag at that point. there no way 6th gear will be good for speed it just too tall.

wow. Cayenne Turbo tops out at 165 and the Turbo S at 168. That's quite a bit faster than both. We always knew the ML63 is better, didn't know it was that much better.

I wonder what the top speed of stinky's jeep is. Did you see this P4MER or do the actual driving. Im curious how the handling and braking seemed (even if it was just a straight line). Whoopsy- do you know if the CTT is electronically restricted to those speeds or red-line?

I'm assuming that's what the speedometer indicated correct? I have found that my ML63's speedo is within one mph up to 90 mph. Haven't checked it above that.

That's an excellent top speed but I'm a little suspicious unless you had a GPS backup or better still a timed run. Or a friendly Leo with a radar gun
