Which Springs for my ML55?
I have narrowed it down to two brands of springs for my 2000 ML55 AMG...the Eibach Pro-kit (progressive springs) and the H&R sport springs. I tow a boat with my ML55 (boat is just under 2000lbs) so i dont want to make the mistake of dropping the back too low. The Eibach springs drop my vehicle 1.2" in the rear and the H&R springs drop it 1.0" in the rear. The front is adjustable thru the dealership. I also have 20 Inch wheels on my ride (295/45-20) so the diameter of my aftermarket wheels is slightly larger then my OEM wheels. I measured the rear gap and i have app. 3 inches b/w the fender and tire. EIbach costs only $30 or so more then the H&R springs so money isnt an issue here. I want to maximize the handling performance and looks w/o sacraficing much comfort and w/o sacraficing my boat towing capabilities at all. Please let me know what you guys think. Vote and leave me some technical advice if you can please.
