I have right at 70K on my ML55 and want to get new shocks and springs. I realize the front is lowered w/ the torsion bar but I am having conflicting results trying to find appropriate shocks and rear springs. As the torsion bar is being relaxed what do I need to do to maintain F/R equal firmness? Any input would be greatly appreciated. I am familiar w/ Porsches and BMWs but am new to the ML55 and do not have the proper answers to a few questions. I only want to do it once. I would definately like to lower about an inch.

get shocks for all 4 and rear springs...
measure the amount the rear drops and lower the same amount on the front...
u may need to lower the front again after the rear springs are settled in...
