don,t tell the wife

Wow,
what a car the ml63 is,i went to Victoria, Vancouver island on friday to get the wifes lr3 serviced, when we went to collect it they were still working on it and asked us to come back in 1 hour.
I decided to look round the MB shown room to kill an hour or so,as we walked in IT STOOD THERE IN ALL ITS GLORY, a black ml63 waiting for it,s new owner.
The salesman asked us twice to go for a test drive,no chance said the wife, honey what harm can it do i kept saying.
She was adament we were not going for a test drive,i gave the salesmen the nod,he new the score,60 seconds later the beast is parked outside and he passes her the key, well key less go fob.
OK but just a quick one she says, the salesman jumps in the front me in the back,of we go,as we pull away the wife takes things very slowly then wack she floors it,what the hell was that, the accelleration was mind blowing for an SUV,we use to own a ML55 which was great,we also had a 2001 996 tt,now you expect that to quick but this thing is just awsome.
We get back to the showroom and i,m in love,i ask for a price on my 8 month old range rover sport with 4500 kilometers, salesman says i will call you monday with are best price.
Well he called today and offered me 70k,no chance said the wife,i said to the wife ok,were not having it.
The wife then goes to pick up our little girl from a friends house,i phone MB and say OK you,ve got a deal, they are delivering it to me wednesday, wow i,m excited
If i,m not on the forum for a while it,s because the hospital i will be recovering at does not allow internet for its patients
(o well you only live once)hope its long enough to enjoy the 63.

happy motoring bc brit

now have fun tomorrow with your new car and it's better to have a angry wife and no ML 63 as to have a angry wife and a new ML 63

Lol, I was just about in the same situation, I had an LR3 before and hated it but my wife loved it. I ordered mine last June and it was a October production, never told my wife I ordered and planning to ditch the LR3. November came and my salesman gave me a call saying the car is due in another week, I then proceed to tell her our MB salesman called and asked if I am interested in a ML63, one has just became available because someone else back out of their order :P, my story to her was I spent 30 seconds thinking about it before saying yes.

Husbands are always sneaky, hahaha.

LMAO!!
Good choice. Your ML63 will not leave you and will never talk back. She will just purr the harder you push her.

Congrats on the new car. we need pics for sure. If your wife gets too mad, remind her how lucky she is to even be in this type of "perdicament"

A friend of mine has the RR sport SC. What a ****ty car, no room, totally uncomftable, and my gl420 cdi feels quicker, don't like the sound of it either. His stepdad rented it for 3 months, drove it for 2 weeks and let my friend drive it for the rest of the period.

My father has the ml63 amg, what a car, if i had his company fuel card i would have one aswell mindblowing acc. and sound!!! but i like the combination of speed and fuel eco. on the 420 cdi

looking good

Hey Jaki,
it arrived 6 am thursday morning, the guy drove up through the night on wednesday as he needed to be back by miday.
i have had 23 cars and trucks in the last 7 years and i have got to say that this is as good as any i have had.
It really does look the part and wow does it go,although i am keeping it under 4500 rpm it really is an impressive peace of kit.
The wife has been really good about it,but she is getting use to me changing my motors on a regular basis.
I have promised to keep this for a while and i intend to.
After this what is there to get,i love 911,s but the cayenne looks like a dogs butt, maybe a ml 65 bi turbo(lol)
I will post a couple of photo,s in the next couple of days

happy motoring bc brit

sorry guys,
havent got round to posting any photos yet, will do though in the next few days.
As for my opinion of the beast, totally insane,i love it.
I really enjoyed the range rover sport, but the ML knocks spots of it in every department, the main department being the smiles per hour
Although i have only done about 120 kilometres in it so far i am starting to get face ache from smiling so much
I am keeping it in comfort mode for the first 1000 miles or so not to give it to much stick, but i cannot wait to be able to take it up to the red line.
As for the wifey situation, she has calmed down, she even asked for a drive yesterday,i said sure as soon as there is a week with 8 days in it
TO be honest, she is a great driver and can use it whenever she wants to.
Well i had better be going i have to put another coat of carnuba wax on the beast,
