Anyone get a 2008 ML63 yet?

We also were up in the air between ML and CayenneTS. For us, it came down to:
1) Cayenne is not as good looking
2) ML accelerates faster
3) More cargo space in ML
4) Not as "flashy" as a Porsche is
The only good reason I can think of that the Porsche would win is performance potential in upgradability. But, since this is going to be the wife's car, I didn't care so much about getting up to 800hp...
You are going to LOVE your ML63!! Just be patient and call the dealer every 4 hours like I did!
It is totally beyond my expectations after my ML55 and S55..D.

Kostis, does your 2008 have the rear door switch?
It looks like there's a little rectangular hole where that switch is supposed to be, but it's empty.
Here's a picture from the 2007 online manual...

my only complains so far:
1. there is no valet switch like some am and jags have to prevent the valet from taking the car for a joy ride.
2. compared to the Q7 the controls are quite complicated. I wish they had the S / new C class system installed.
3. no easy entry function like the RR where the car lowers so you can enter easier.
other than that the car is a charm... cant wait to see what it does after the break in...

I have a question about the interior: Is the dash leather-covered? Somebody mentioned that in a different thread..

And how is the overall quality? Any glitches so far? And what about the engine- and exhaust-sound?
How many miles do you get on average with a tank of gas? MPG is not that important, just curious how often you have to visit the gas-station...
Thanks for any feedback!
Apart from a single report here about the car stalling, there has been no problems reported, there were a couple recalls for the engine but seems like it only affect the early cars.
Exhaust note is quite personal, some like the stock growl and some like it without the resonators, take your pick.
I go about 400+km per tank, that's about 260miles, which I think it's quite acceptable for a mostly city driven 500hp suv.

Thank You very much for your reply - so North Americans get a leather-dash - that's awesome..

Thanks for answering all my questions!
'401 Active Ventilated Seats/Front'
Is that correct? I might be too stupid to read the e-brochure on mbusa.com but as far as I recall, they simply forgot to mention this fantastic feature - as well as the leather-dash..

I also had the chance to look at the dash. Very sweet! Is it just me or do you agree that this car is a 'bargain' when compared to the Porsche Cayenne Turbo with similar features?
The 'air-condition' seats
, it was an option last year when I bought mine, guess it's standard this year?
