Buying an extended factory warranty at a discount?
My warranty on my 2007 ML63 runs out in about 6000 miles. I am debating what to do. I received a quote of $4600 for an additional 3 years/36,000 miles 100% factory warranty from Mercedes. The extended 2 years/ 24,000 miles is $4100.
3rd party warranty is about $600 less than above.
Anybody have a suggestion of alternatives or whether the pricing is negotiable? I am thinking of taking my chances but if I can get a mercedes warranty for under $4000 I may consider it.

I suggest going with the Mercedes warranty. You don't want any hassles in the future if you ever do need to use it as you know any MB service department in North America will honor it.
