At least I think it's the ABS pump. It's attached at the rear of what I think is the master cylinder under the washer fluid tank. All the warning lights are on like ABS, etc. The motor hums nicely without the key in, and much louder with the motor running. Brake pedal feel normal. Any ideas?....

YES. Its prob the ABS Pump. It will burn out in several hours. Brakes will work but feel funny. Bring to mechanic. Had this happen to my 2000 W210 a few years ago.
