My06 ML55 Amg!!
Check out pg. 26 in the June issue of Automobile & it mentions the new ML55 will have a naturally aspirated 6.3l V8 with 400 horses!!!! Now, that will be an SUV with serious punch!

It will be an MY06! As with all AMG models, they are be released about 8 to 12 months after the launch of the standard version.

Only 400? And they expect that to be competitive 2 years from now when it comes out, and better yet, 5 or 6 years from now, when it is farther along in it's life?
An AMG model should push the envelope, or at least EQUAL. The Cayenne Turbo has 450hp TODAY. Why can't mercedes beat that? I don't want this to turn into a pissing contest with people saying "it doesn't need more power... etc". I'm the first to agree, i'm just talking about market competitiveness. unless it will have 500lb ft of torque, this 400 hp is unimpressive to say that least. Especially from 6.3 L!

never looked at it that way..there will be better cars than that in 05
maybe mercedes should just stop the production of the ML..the suv/mini-van
