I only feel the lag if I'm pushing it a bit in C mode then come to a stop then it can take a second to build up the power again. That said this is one VERY fast vehicle!!!
By the way, do all of you have the Eco stop/start function working all the time? because, even though my light is on, it seems to have taken a holiday since I took delivery last week. It's been inactive all week. MIA :-)

Wondering when there will be a Sprintbooster available for the 2012-2013 Ml 63? That would completely change the feel of the whole truck in the sense of response.

I previously had a 2012 Biturbo E63..and i feel like the ML63 drives a little more sluggish.. I dont mean the weight of the car.. just in general.. Transmission etc. etc..

My son has a new Jeep SRT8 and the similarities between his Jeep and my ML63 are amazing except his was about $40K less! ML63 is a bit quicker but only if I keep mine in Sport mode

Yeah - I know but it goes beyond that. The Jeep's creature comforts, leather seating with carbon fibre trim, panoramic sunroof, etc. match that found in my ML63 but he has remote start and a heated steering wheel which aren't even available on our ML's. They are very impressive for 40K less!

Good point i just checked on Google the jeep gc and the w166 have a similar chassis. However the srt chassis is imo no way as good as the w166 since it doesn't have all the new goodies. (Active curve and the suspension for example)

The Start/Stop Function works if the Centre Display ECO Light is Green

Does you car also like to stay in gear if you go Hard on the throttle only for a few hundred Meters/Feet? i.e. it thinks you want to go hard, so it stays in gear and revs high and doesn't want to change up gears?
Cheers

I, too, feel the ML quite sluggish but I guess, it is because I compare it to my '13 GT-R... man this thing does whatever you want it to do... Also, it may be because of the fact, I haven't yet tried the S+ mode

A bit off topic but why no pictures in this thread? Let me at least add one

You will see everything is better specially the steering in S+ ![bow](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/bowdown.gif)
However, amg/mb made a big mistake IMO, the steering should be also harder/more precise in S mode... I asked the tuner Vath to see if they could change that with the fenders, power upgrade and the suspension

New member... Our '12 ML63 absolutely feels like it hits the claimed numbers. My Range Sport has the RSC tune and pulley, so it should put out about 600hp - the ML63 still blows the doors off it. I thought it would be closer as some magazines were hitting 5.1 - 5.3 seconds to 60 in the RRS Supercharged (and mine's got an additional 90hp). I haven't done a proper VBOX test though...
I can't contribute any pictures at the moment, but I made a video with my GoPro. I will be getting a Lamborghini LP570-4 this fall - ML63 vs. LP570 will make for an entertaining video even if LP570 dominates.

I need to make a video soon of a friend's 600+hp tuned G55 - I believe he's a member here.

Thanks! The exhaust is fully stock - it likely seems louder due to the positioning of the GoPro closer to the exhaust tips to better capture the sound. As for turbo whistle, I can hear it well with the windows down, especially if the sound resonates of a nearby wall.

Btw are you planning to tune your ml? So it could be closer to the lambo? I am sure the 780hp Weistec kit Will do it

The ML will probably stay stock besides some minor trim painting and perhaps some HRE's, although I haven't ruled out the Renntech tune. The chance of performance tuning is low though - between the Lambo and a switch next year or the year after to the new Range Sport or a G63 (either of which would get tuned), I've got plenty on my hands.
