Real air intake for ml55
While I wait for my W166 ml63 
I would like to have some fun with my ML 55 
Does anybody know who makes a real air intake for this car?
Not really looking for power mostly more noise from the engine.

Haha, this is funny. I don't think I would recommend the CLK55 intake. Let me do a search and I'll find a post where we actually did a dyno study with different airboxes, and the CLK320 (which is pretty much the same as an ML55) gave the same HP than the AMG setup. Mostly due to heat caused by being directly on top of the engine. Having high-flow air filters is the biggest driver
The best set up would be to build a little isolation dam around the current airbox location and get an open K&N type filter. Also, if you can extend the MAF wires and place the MAF in line behind the filter (where the air is the coldest), you'll have the best results.

if you want some power and a nice sound, do a custom exhaust. eliminate the secondary cats and resonator, install a good flowing y pipe and a magnaflow muffler. No check light, I pass smog here in Calif. and it finally sounds like a beast.
I have a custom intake, it adds a little omph and a small growl but I doubt it is what you desire if its more roar you want.
