- World Premiere: Eurocharged V5 Tune + Blip TCU Upgrade! -
HOLY MOTHER OF GOD!!!
... That was my initial reaction when I felt the combination of the world's first Eurocharged V5 tune + Ralf's (German32er) Blip TCU Upgrade. I honestly thought Eurocharged had squeezed out every last HP out of the 6.3L platform with the V4 tune... boy was I mistaken. I am not exaggerating when I say the its genuinely feels a good 20+HP more than the V4 tune on the top end past 5000rpm. I have no idea how they unlocked so much more power. The jump between V4-V5 is even greater than the Jump between V3-V4 (and possible even V1-V4). It feels like a completely different engine, almost like I dropped in an SLS motor. Crank power has to be around the 550hp mark and the only other mods I have are carbon delete air filters and Resonator bypass (also a 100% MUST on the ML63s). I never thought I would say this but the ML63 is starting to get legitimately STUPID fast! .
The ML63 was already running consistently in the low 12.9s all day long. Now the high 12.7s, low 12.8s are highly possible. Another visit to the 1/4 mile dragstrip will confirm the upgrade results. Always wanting a little bit more power, I though I needed to get high flow cats to get to where I wanted. But now that I found that extra power along with absolutely perfect sound I no longer want to do the high flow cats (will ruin the sound).
Being the lucky guy to have the first V5 tune in the world I have to say... Its shockingly strong. Not only is the power delivery so much more aggressive, but its unbelievably smooth. Unfortunately, the V5 power gains are so much, they can only be unlocked in conjunction with the Blip TCU upgrade, and not all models will be able to have the V5 tune performed (only specific AMGs, check with Jerry at Eurocharged to see if your application applies).
Blip:
This modification has completely transformed the older 7spd Auto. It really is like converting the old 7spd torque converter slush-box auto into an MCT/DCT transmission. There is still a tiny bit of nose dive on the downshifts, but the downshifts are much faster and more precise. at lower rpms you cannot even feel the downshifts they are so smooth. Only when you downshift into the higher rpms do you get more deceleration (more to do with general engine braking than the actual downshift itself). The upshifts are so quick you cannot even really feel them anymore. Its borderline DCT quick. V4 + Blip has turn the sluggish stock shifting into razorsharp crisp shifts on the upshifts. Even downshifts in certain circumstances are completely seemless and precise (a good 60% of the time) There are two settings: Mild, Aggressive. Do yourself a favor, completely forget the Mild setting, waste of time. Aggressive all day long, it will make the average black series owner blush
The rev-matched downshift blips give the most glorious barks I have ever heard in my life haha. I literally feel like I just bought a new car, and the entire character of the car has completely transformed. I find myself driving around in Sport and Manual modes just to hear the downshift barks more frequently.
Another nice features is Comfort mode essentially remains unchanged (like stealth mode). So you get the best of both worlds, truly a Dr. Jekyl / Mr. Hyde tune.
I will be doing some GoPro videos shortly so you can hear just how amazing the downshifts sound under deceleration over the coming week as the ECU adjusts more and more.
I don't care if you have to run/walk/crawl or swin across the Atlantic Ocean to get this hybrid combo tune ... but you absolutely HAVE TO DO IT!!
Special Thanks to Jerry at Eurocharged, and Ralf (German32er) for flying all the way from Germany to help us Houston AMG guys out!
Video Update: ADDED!!

Betrezra - you will definitely benefit from all the hard work today haha. Took a few retunes to get it just perfect, but now its flawless. My ML63 buddy came along two and we were both blipping all the way home. It sounds absolutely fantastic with resonator bypass thats been worn in for many months... Absolutely perfect AMG sound. Think of it as a refined black series.

Same cost as V4, it's just the TCU portion that costs extra...
Recorded videos, just need to process the videos in the next few days. Will upload shortly

Does this work via OBD? Or do I need to send my ECU? I live half a world away I also have an Upsolute tune on my C63 will the TCU tune work with that independently?
Thanks

You need to send ECU and TCU away, unless Ralf visits your city. Why would yo get his done on your V63? It already has throttle blipping from the factory.

Hey guys,
As long as it doesn't rain Sunday I will be going to Dragstrip to put down new numbers. I will take some footage of each run and get updated times with new power. Granted the weather is much warmer and humid now so I am not sure they are a 100% accurate comparison, but it should be interesting to see the results

OH, I thought one of the EC guys told me it was only available in Europe. If reading this thread Jerry, can this be done in the Sterling EC or what is required and what is price? (feel free to PM me)

Their German partner does trips throughout the USA so next time he comes through you can get it done.
I got videos but I still need to edit them. Once I have a chance to edit them I will upload shortly.
