The anodized finish calipers are without your RB logo. Is that the way they are?

No they are at prep stage before logo print and assembly. We will take a picture with RB logo and re-post.

This is a sand blast surface with hard anodizing finish quiet different from OE silver spray paint.

Hey Warren,

Can you do the calipers in gloss black powdercoat with no logo?

That would certainly sweeten the deal for me

Here is the hard anodizing finish with RB logo.

This finish cost a lot more to furnish, which is most preferred by most serious track racer for it's durable finish - No fade in color, resistant to brake fluid attack (not powder coating), surface is highly resistant to scratch, nick, or chipping that can easily happen to powder coating finish.

We proudly print our RB logo to identify the quality we build into the calipers for the look, performance and durability.

Do your rotors accept other pads or are they exclusive to yours. Also, I presume your pads are of the very, very low dust or no dust type ... which is my objective. Thanks.

They are standard FMSI#1666 brake pad - Same pad used for Mustang Shelby GT500 comes with Brembo calipers:

All our calipers use standard FMSI brake pads, so you are free to use other brands' pads, but if you are looking for a low dust, no squeaking and good braking power compound, our ET500 would be your best bet.

Here is a testimonial from a MB customer recently installed RacingBrake's ET500 on his SL550

We offer brake pads mostly only for our two piece rotors and brake kits, so if you purchase our brake kit, it will include our brake pads, as explained above.

For ML63 since we don't make pads for OE (iron) calipers but you can still use other mfgrs' brake pads as long as they are not ceramic compound.

I have question, if you don't mind please, and it may be a repeat. Do you make your ET500 compound on pads to fit my stock OEM calipers (with stock OEM rotors)for the:
2014 ML63 AMG (W166) and 2014 SL63 AMG (R231)
And if so, what are the model numbers, prices and how are they ordered. Thanks.

I believe I have answered my own questions and that is, in order to run your ET500 compound on my W166, I must use your brake kit (including your rotors and calipers) front and rear. However, I am still confused about the R231. Does the same condition exist or is it something else? Thanks.

Our brake kits will also supply with Stainless Steel brake line kit to convert OE's rubber line for a more responsive and firmer pedal feel and improve the overall braking efficiency.

Brembo Rear US $3,857.62

Total: $8,562.82/car

Comparing to RB's car sets: $6,522.50, you save $2,042.32

Better yet, our rotors for the brake kits are made to the same exact size and offset. Not only this will retain the same brake balance as OE, you can swap them with stock, or other aftermarket rotors, which gives you the complete flexibility and can save you a lot of money on maintenance/replacement down the road.

A unique feature only available from RB brake kits.

Thanks,
Are you talking about the new model. Chances are if they have the same spindle, then the brake kits can also be used with your W166.

Other members may know this better can chime in.

Yes, it can be made available.

Here is our complete offer for Carbon Ceramic brake kit or stock replacement:

http://www.racingbrake.com/category-s/7219.htm

The CCM brake kit for ML63 will use a larger caliper with 392x36 CCM rotor (Same as Corvette ZR1 front)

The kit will be added for pre-order if you and other ML63 owners are interested.

Honestly CCB are waaaayyy overkill. If you knew the insane level of braking force the 2-piece steel racing brake kit has, you would never even bother with carbon ceramics, it's a waste of money and the steels are better for the streets anyways.

With DWS tires I cannot even use more than 70% of my brakes bc I will lock up the wheels at any speed (even 100mph+). I would need to run a Michelin pilot Supersports or an R-compound tire to max out these brakes (which is a bit ridiculous for an SUV.)

If you want to get a full RacingBrake BBK, get the stock diameter 2-piece kit with matching calipers, it is the best kit money can buy for our Ml63 application.

P.S. FYI, the stock rear brakes on the W166 ML63 are actually smaller than on the W164 so the braking performance is actually worse on the newer ML63. If you upgrade the W166 to this RB BBK it's actually an even bigger upgrade than the W164 because the rear rotor size upgrade is significantly greater making for a much better balanced braking ratio from front/rear.

Racingbrake,

Quick question, I never knew you offered SS lines for the ML63 application. Can I use these with my OEM calipers? I a mind Esperanto need of a brake flush (almost 2 years). If I can replace the brake fluid and lines at the same time I would love to knock out 2 birds with one stone!

PM me if you can offer them separately, thx

Is the W164 ML63 AMG's spindle the same as the W166 ML63?

Can anybody confirm this?, so we then know for sure Racing Brake's kit will for sure fit on the newer W166 ML63 amg.
ML63 AMG, can you confirm this?, or Racing Brake?
Thanks!!!

OE brake line connection to caliper is different from RB caliper (banjo connection).

As we make SS brake lines for our caliper kits, we can also make OE brake line available.

Still waiting for OE lines to confirm the fitting and length etc.
