The wheel bearings are what keeps your car rolling smoothly down the road. These bearings are located at each wheel hub, and are used to keep the hub spinning freely around the spindle.
These bearings operate in a harsh environment with high temperatures, and are thus very susceptible to wear.
Once the wheel bearings have worn past their serviceable life, they will begin to make grinding noises, and must be replaced in order to keep your car driving properly.
Wheel bearings are pressed into the knuckle, and will require proper equipment for removal and installation.
