ML63 AMG 2010 ignition doesn't recognise key
Hi I need help.
My ML63 AMG 2010 has started to not recognise the key when it is inserted into the ignition. The fob opens all the doors and tailgate I have replaced the batteries. I have also checked with the second fob I still get the same issue. The symptom is a little erratic but is worse when the car is hot either from a long drive or if it has been standing in the sun all day. When I put the key into the ignition normally the dash lights come on and I can turn the key to start the engine but now when I insert the key nothing I can still turn the key but no dash lights or engine start. Sometimes if I take the key out and put it back in a couple of times everything is fine and sometimes nothing will get it to work. Can anyone please help me? My local dealer is not very helpful and just say's bring it in we will run a diagnostic.
