Hi Guys great to get on this W164 Forum coming from the W204 C63 Forum ...
we have already done some stage 1 software upgrade BMC filters .... will be doing an X-pipe then stage 2 ... I had the full headers and exhaust .. Nitrous kit & Phenolic heat spacers in the C63 but we older now so won’t be going as wild
Im not a fan of stone chips as well. I often wonder why our ML55, SLK32 and GL550 have the "power dome" hood but not the 07' ML63.. Wonder if I could retro fit one. Hmm. Thanks for the photo.

FYI the power dome hood was of course only available on the 2011 ML63...the hood did not exist in 2007....If you look underneath you'll see a strange shape where the bulge has the insulation mounted. Why? This hood was originally designed for the ML400 Hybrid to clear all the underhood electronic modules. Those ML hybrids were lease-only and were later stripped of their drivetrains by MB before being sent to a scrapyard in New Jersey. The 2011 LED tail lights are also a remnant of the hybrid to draw less power over the standard bulbs.
