Leaving Exhaust Valve open

Leaving Exhaust Valve open
Does anyone know how I can leave the OEM exhaust valve open? I am not looking at replacing the exhaust sys just happy with a bit more sound....lol...

Pretty sure he's talking about the valve in the muffler...
OP I imagine you could unplug it but you would most likely get an error if the system runs any sort of self diag.
Coding should be able to eliminate it, find someone with star to take a look.

Most of us knew exactly what you were talking about, so don't concern yourself with the insulting post. On that note, having suffered from a stuck exhaust valve because of worn guides on an old Porsche Turbo, those valves you don't want left open.
Have you seen the recent post in the ML 55 forum about remote controlled valves? Looks like a pretty cool device if you just want to increase the sound on occasion. Doubt if there is any performance gain, however.

hmmm.... I don't think the w166 AMG vehicles have a valve...(that would be in the rear exhaust)
on initial startup the car might have a valve that bypasses a portion of the catalytic converter (I actually wish it would sound like that more often as it really sounds great albeit quite loud).. but after warmup .. that sound never comes back.
thoughts??
