Hey all. After a week of trial and error, I have finally made and attached a V1 rearview Mirror Bracket to my ML63. Materials: 1/2 x 1/16 aluminum strip, 3M interlocking strip, black paint and V1 holder from visor bracket. Tools drill and aluminum rivets (2). I riveted two piece of materials to add strength in the middle, since the aluminum is flimsy. I have had it in place for a few days and it appears to be holding firm; will continue to monitor and think of a stronger mounting option, so feel free to present any ideas/suggestions/comments you have. Pics below:
Finished Bracket; very light weight and not much V1 movement while driving 3M strip attached to bracket; front affixes to mirror stem and top to plastic cover Fits under mirror well. Will silde V1 forward in bracket after any final adjustments
